Buy a Broken Car and Fix It With Little Money | Renault Scenic II

You asked for it a lot, so here are the tricks that I use when it comes to fixing a used car. In this video I show you what you should check to see if it is in good condition.
In any case, whenever you have doubts, it is better that you leave it in the hands of a professional and take the car to a mechanical test in a workshop.

I want to remember that this video is not a guide and that if you try to imitate any action in the video it is your responsibility, see more information on the channel.
However, I will give you some tips:
*Exterior - I do not put much emphasis on the aesthetics of a vehicle, because in the end everything is solvable and it is not usually very expensive, however:
Check rust, unevenness, brakes, tires and suspension (if you rattle the car from the side it shouldn't bounce much)
*Vano Motor - This is where we are going to spend more time looking.
Check for oil or other liquid leaks
·Check coolant color (a chocolate color is that it is worn, if it also looks like a paste / mayonnaise it has a cylinder head gasket)
Check oil color (a chocolate color and texture of mayonnaise is the cylinder head gasket)
Check other fluids (we can check the color of the brake fluid (it should be like olive oil) and the steering fluid (it should have a dark or reddish color)
·Check belts (the accessory belt is cheap to change, but if it is very worn it indicates poor maintenance), the timing belt is much more difficult to look at, if it has a chain it should not be changed.
·With the engine running, check for strange noises and in case of doubt, ask the owner and/or take it to the workshop or directly move on from that car.
*Interiors - In this part the only thing that interests us is the following:
· That the box works well and does not show fault lights.
·That the steering wheel works correctly and does not present a deviation with respect to the wheels, if it is peeled or unstitched it is the least important thing.
·That the gears with the engine started and the clutch depressed all enter correctly.
· That the air conditioning and heating work (I do not give much importance to this, but it is true that in the workshop it is an expensive repair).
· That the windows work.
·That the seat belts work and are not locked.
·That the seat regulations work correctly.
·Note: aesthetic details like a ripped seat or a dropped roof shouldn't bother you too much.
*Test drive - ALWAYS when you buy a second-hand car ask to try it out or at least ride with the owner while he shows you how it works.
·Test that ALL the gears are engaged and that they work without noise, also that it is not difficult for you to start in 1st on the flat and uphill.
·Test that the car stays straight on a long straight by maintaining speed.
·Test that all brakes and accessories (including handbrake), lights, etc. work.
