Too bad it's not as easy to do this on a MacBook Pro.

The Windows operating system with its license will be on the 128 GB drive that is removed, and the new 1 TB SSD drive will have no operating system on it. Unless you plan to install Linux on the new drive, you'll need a method to transfer the o.s. and license(s) to the new SSD. Do you have a link to that?
