Princess Anne was bloody quick in hers, although i think the one i used to see her drive was a middlebridge special Her close protection used to kill range rovers trying to keep up with her 😂 That blue one looks a right heap The trim can be a bugger to sort Buy the best you can find

All Scimitar’s are projects, including both of mine. But also, that one is a GTE, the GTC was the convertible

I love Sierra's and I remember a friend of mine borrowed his bosses Sapphire 2.0 litre special edition with around 150bhp and it was rapid. Can't remember the name of this special edition but it had leather interior. Very nice car and even though he was a Vauxhall guy, even he was impressed with it.

Steve same here, I have nothing bit fond memories of these cars. My dad had a GLX and my best mates dad had a GLS and we had constant arguments about which was best. The 2.0 engine was decent and with RWD they differentiated themselves from the Vauxhalls considerably.

@@jimmyscarclub I watched The late brake show yesterday and Johnny discovered an Orion 1.6 Ghia stored in a garage for decades in Wales. It started after a few attempts. I would still have an injection Ghia if ever I found one in mint condition.

You can easily buy a Scim for under a grand. But sorted values are similarly cheap. The V6 is a boat anchor, as you said, wiring is problematic as every circuit has to be grounded with wire, GRP doesn't conduct electricity and cooling is a nightmare, derived from the MKIV Zodiac which was another turkey! If you can cope with serious work and want to re-engine one with something better, it's a cheap way into customizing. Otherwise, forget it!

There are definitely better examples for sale. There is a stunning one on Facebook for £5k still a lot of car for the money and definitely still customizable. .
