We recently bought a Thunder Nova 35 100w. It’s been a big learning curve but really fun. Love your guys channel and vibe! Love from South Africa

Wow! Thanks for the support!! Did you have a different brand of machine before?

My first laser, that I'm still currently using, was a SaleCNC laser (BX-1310, I believe). It ks a 100watt gantry cnc, with a 1300mmx1000mm bed. I bought it for $350 from a scrap yard that my brother worked at, the same day that a business brought it in to scrap it. It took me a year or so to get it working good. Brand new, the thing was $6500, on their website. I now also have a 60 watt mopa fiber laser and a 40 watt galvo CO2 machine, from Cloudray.

I have a 150w OMTech and 150W Monport. Both took a lot of parts and extra servicing to get working. But, so much cheaper than the other lasers out there. I'm tickled with both, now.

@@peasheller Good to hear! It is interesting how we keep hearing and even experienced that various brands are far from plug and play. Does that even exist I wonder?

My first laser was a FSL and it was nightmare. I ended up sending it back and got a full refund. I have Thunder Lasers now, but if I get another one, I might seriously look into Aeon.

I have a thunder nova 35 100 watt had it I think it’s about 3 years now you won’t find better or faster customer service its a tank. on problems I’ve had starting out was operator error and tech support got back to me within minutes 3 years not one mechanical problem I would pay extra again for a thunder if I ever need to

She says not to trust her face, as she gives the most-sinister, shifty-eyed, evil look ever recorded by mankind! Just kidding. Glad you guys got a machine you like. If I ever hit the lottery or marry a billionaire, I'd like to get one of those, too. I got a couple diode lasers that are serving me well-enough for now (nearly zero Christmas sales, so far. Luckily, I really enjoy making stuff, it would just be nice to get other people to pay for it... via big-time sales, like you guys. I enjoyed the video.

@@MileyonDisney 😆 Our sales are lower this year for the smaller items but have picked up for the larger items. Seems strange but we are still trying to get a grip on the Christmas season in general
@MileyonDisney4 күн бұрын
@@LocalStature I'd like to be able to make larger things - don't care at all for these $5-$10 profit sales. I've got a cheap CO2 laser sitting in my storage room that I bought about 5 months ago, and still have not been able to do anything with it - even after adding lots of parts to it. I'll address it again after Christmas.
@LocalStature4 күн бұрын
@@MileyonDisney I’ve heard that same situation before. Keep at it for sure, you’ll get there! If you haven’t already, look for Facebook groups for that brand. It may take some digging but hopefully they can provide some insight.

Your OMTech will not be any better than the Full Spectrum. I would sell it before the problems come and get a Thunder/Aeon/Epilog.... I learned the hard way, no need for you learn that way too!
@LocalStature3 күн бұрын
@@jasonbliley6429 Oh really?! I don’t think I would feel right selling something knowing it was going to bring someone else a lot of issues. Guess we will have to test our luck and hopefully by the time we do have problems we will be prepared to upgrade. Several folks seem to have and like their Thunder lasers. Going to have to check more into them for sure
