Buying $1,000s in Comic Books for a few $100s!!!! Trigger Warning!!!

I went to an antique mall in central Illinois and found an amazing collection of Old Comic Books. This isn't the first time i've been able to find thousands and thousands of dollar worth of comic books for cheap in rare and unusual place. I will say here that I believe I am one of the best comic book hunters in the community. Hope you enjoy.

The whole point of comic hunting is to find valuable Comics for cheap. The haters never want to factor in the hours it takes to hunt for those scores & gas to drive there. We don't always find things, but when we do it's the best feeling. It makes it worth all the time we take to hunt . Congrats on all those awesome Comics brother

I honestly think the prices you paid were fair. Antique shops make their money selling multiple items. Selling comics isn’t their livelihood so never feel guilty if you obtained a super low price for a valuable book. Fantastic haul btw, love those Golden Age books. You might get a call from Alan the Comic Geek! Lol

Man, talk about some gems! i love that "Wanted" cover. I recently saw it on a live sale but can't remember the price. But those Wonder and Startling books at those prices...all day! Great score. The Wanted and the Wonders are incredible. Agree you didnt rip anyone off. Antique sellers usually know there shit, etc. I would have been all over those books.

Amazing haul Alex! This is the whole point of hunting. My best find a few years back was in an indoor flea market. I went to 2 in the same day. Found Batman Adventures 12 for $1. Only defect, wrinkle at top staple, non color breaking. And a beat but complete Amazing Spider-Man 129 for $3.50. Your all makes me want to start searching these places again! Not very knowledgeable on the golden age stuff though. 😂

@@AlextheComicHoarder Oh man! Color me jealous of that little tidbit. I'm sure you know the staples (Baker, Cole). Honestly a lot of the artists themselves feel pretty inconsistent compared to other genres outside of the staples in my opinion. I often look for titles, because some titles just have a lot of desirable issues within them - Teen-Age Temptations, Teen-Age Romances, and Popular Teen-Agers Love come to mind right away. Several pricey and hard to find covers in those runs. Al Hartley is another name that comes to mind, but he kind of mimics Baker in his romance stuff. Bob Powell and Bill Ward are others.

My best comic book find in the semi-wild (a comic book shop) was X-Men #1 in Honolulu in 1982 for $20. It's still ungraded but appraised at 2.0.

Thanks for the video you’re right I’ve been to some of those antiques and most of them they have nasty attitude, to what it says there that’s what it is 😂😂 The price is on the back of the book so don’t listen to the people who say you’re ripping off I bought expensive omega for $100 and I told the old man this is an expensive watch and his answer was, didn’t I ask you for that or you wanna buy so I bought it

Nice! 🎉 Everyone of those comics had shades of green next to your shirt! Did you do that on purpose? 😅 I had a friend of mine who went to an antique store that had Xmen #94 with a price tag of $30. He asked if he could take it out of the bag/board and look through it. He asked if they would take $25 and they said yes! He sent me pics to get an idea of grade. From what I could tell it looked like a 7.0.

Ummm, I found a Batman 423 3rd print at a vintage toy shop for $2 yesterday, probably a 7.0-8.0 copy. Not quite on par with your finds but good enough:). Awesome finds. You 💩your pants……😂

I’m sorry that happened to you, but it’s different at those antique shops. Often, the comic seller isn’t present. He puts a price on it then leaves. For this reason a shopper usually can’t haggle either. If you think you are over paying, I suppose you can leave more, but keep in mind that the extra money may not make it to the comic seller because the person you’re paying doesn’t work for the comic seller. He or she may view themself as a competitor with no incentive to pass on that extra money.
