Tom Mix was the first cowboy western movie star. I live in Oklahoma and we have a small Tom Mix museum. Most if his movies were silent movies. He died in 1940. Great finds!

Hi. 9:20 area. Comics. He took them out of the bags because the bags were starting to turn yellow. Bags are good for 7 to 10 years. If you look at comics from the 1970's to 1980's that are in yellow bags you can see the comic cover start to bleed into the bag. I don't know what you know about comics but if i were you i would go to your local comic shop and buy comis bags by the 100 in a few different sizes so when you sell them they look nice and easy sale and if for whatever reason you stop buying comics the bags are good for lots of things. I put figures in them too so when you sell them at a market kids don't stand there picking at them. As for the boards they are fine and wont hurt the comics.

As a comic book collector him setting the boxes ontop of the comics gave me anxiety lol. Also if you're gonna be selling and shipping comics invest in Gemini comic mailers if you haven't already they're also pretty good for shipping expensive video games in too. I've used them for years and have yet to have any issues.

You mentioned getting a scanner. I am an amateur photographer and for showing coins, cards, comics, documents, letters, fall leaves, etc., with results that blows away photos for true colors, high resolution, details and so on. You can choose the quality of the scan and more. I bought the Epson Perfection V700 (years ago) and have scanned thousands of items with excellent results.

Do your research on star notes, alot can be found in your regular everyday money. I recently explored this and found that repeats, consecutive, number that look like month days and years together can fetch a good price. But any star note has a minimum price over face value.
