If you wanna try doing higher difficulties in Penny's Pursuit you should probably complete adventure mode to get all of the plants so you can get more options. In the last stand levels you can use the Moonflower (the one after Shinking Violet) instead of Sunfllower cuz if you put it in a 2x2 pattern it will generate a lot of sun. Also, Mega Gatling Pea and Torchwood work pretty well against Zomboss, In the future if you have chance to get Pea Vine they will become even more powerful.

Matt, tip! In the almanac you can sort by needing upgrade, this makes it easier to see how many are left to level up, and you can also sort by level to see what your highest level plants are :)

I'm pretty sure the Electric peashooter is very OP, it does lots of grouped damage and pretty spammable as well! also, upgrades are VERY important! (im pretty sure you know this but) like even if a plant is 1 or 2 levels higher than another plant it can still be much better than the lower level plant, even if the lower level plant would be better if they were both the same level. Hope this helps!😄

Zoybean pod is super good in penny's pursuit/arena levels where you have to defeat zomboss. If you can place a couple zoybeans on power tiles during the plan your defense part (because of its slow recharge), you can spam zomboss with tofu gargantuars which deal major damage. You might even be able to stunlock him if you support the gargantuars with stunning/chilling plants.

Quick tip on Penny Pursuit 1- (Obvious you gotta play the game and unlock more plants) 2- Mode is hard on purpose but you unlock the perks doing extra objectives, if you see a level with 2 extra objectives spam that one and with the upgrades game is easier, is like a nerf so you need to play normally and DON’T rush with overpowered plant, if you reach higher lv the “boss killer” perk activates faster, and deals more dmg so is easier to do lv 2-3, but at first is almost impossible
