I bought this truck back in January, started working on it and then it got put on the back burner until recently. I know there is a lot missing to this story but I transferred all my video to a new server recently and a lot of files didn't make it.

Good to see you. You keep doing what you want. There’s nothing better than building something yourself.

Only way to learn is by doing. Next flatbed build will have a much different approach.

Chinese metric haha that one was good! I am always amazed when I see the occasional imperial sizing and wonder how you remember those stupid 7/16 15/16 or my favorite 11/32... 😂 Cheers.

Don't you have fractions in math? I can't imagine never using our measuring system and then having to figure out "imperial" (sae we call it) sizes. Everything is going to metric since nothing is built in America anymore, but I wrench on all older stuff so I haven't given in yet!

@@PossumKing Yes I do know fractions. But sae is just overly complicated imo. And don't be to frustrated. Nothings built in Germany anymore either.

The only thing I'll buy local is alternators, starters, u-joints and wheelbearings at autozone. They're junk but will replace as many times as you want. I swear by amazon for everything else. I went thru a dana 80 recently and got all of the bearings and races off amazon. Napa's national brand is ok but amazon is timken and cheaper. I just take the number on bearing and race and punch it on amazon. Same with seals, if I can find a number on the old one. Great video I watched the whole thing, i like the home brew stain. Lol. Hey did you dig into the dozer yet?

I buy starters and alternators exclusively off eBay. It's 1/3 price. If I have time to wait I buy parts on Amazon/eBay but sometimes I'm in a hurry. Yes I been working on the loader. Waiting for one last part and then I should be able to fire it up and see if she can be saved.

@@CodyFazio I'm sure there will be a video. Pretty sure it's fuel related. I been recording. Got a couple things in the works.

Man that’s bad when the wagon you pull your air compressor on always had flat tires 😂😂. New subscriber here, been scanning through some of your videos. You’ve got good content, what exactly is your plan on thing. You gonna be a self employed construction company or mobile mechanic for a living? Or is all that just personal use?

I am self employed in trucking right now. Just working on getting equipment together and a shop built so I can expand into all sorts of avenues. When one thing gets slow jump to the next. Just out here hustling man.

I completely understand my friend about the hustle for a living. While I was working for a living making the rich man richer, I was the same as you. I bought equipment & redone it to my liking the best I could. Now I drive my own tandem axle log truck contracted out most everyday, got a dozer, case backhoe, dump truck, 30ft pintle hitch equipment trailer & a 40x52 enclosed shop. Keep my nose to the grindstone & busted my ass just the same as you my friend
