Buying a 3DS in 2022!! - Is it still worth it!?

Got one on March 2023 a 2week before the eshop closes Took me 2 months to find a cheap Dual IPS New 3DS XL 111$, and it was 100% worth it, colors and viewing angles are awesome Came modedd amd ready to go, now i'm enjoying DS library+ 3DS library for free

Every now and then I use my Streetpass feature on my 3DS (carry it around and try and run into other people to get their Miis in my plaza, get Streetpass coins and so on), and surprisingly I still get those encounters despite the 3DS being largely discontinued. Just goes to show how people still appreciate games of the past.

Just grabbed a 3DS LL and New 3DS LL. Hoping to get a 2DS LL/XL before they get too high and maybe the OG if I find a proper one on a good price.

Had my 3DS for 5 years but recently got back into it because I re-bought Dead or Alive Dimensions. I'm also still trying to beat Samus returns after years. A great regular DS game is 100 classic books.. a lifetime of reading. Also Dementium 1+2 are good horror games on DS. Can't forget starfox. I have over 500,000 steps on the unit haha

I now have 4 3DSs, so I guess I am a fan. :) Had a regular turquoise one for years, and then started collecting more this past year before they get too hard to find- have found another turquoise one and found 2 different Galaxy edition New XLs recently as well. I play it quite frequently still.

Back in 2014 I upgraded to a 3ds xl which made it more enjoyable bvaudr I have huge hands and I gave my old one to one of my moms friends kids and he loved it ☺️

@@alpha-boss I'm a fan of the majora N3DSXL but I would up getting the cheaper matte black Japanese N3DS to homebrew, figured the smaller one would feel better in the pocket. I do have big nostalgia for the og turquoise model aswell

I modded my 3ds and reallly, I can play now every old Nintendo handheld that has come out. From Gameboy to DS. Really awesome. I have a Switch for the newer games, while the 3ds is for every other Nintendo handheld.

Ya, I recently got a dual ips 3ds in great condition, set me back $400 but games look amazing on it, also cfw is very easy to install, so you can have your libraries from allot of consoles

I bought a modded new 3ds xl on eBay with nearly all the 3ds games on it well all the good ones like the Mario's Zelda's and so on 🙏🏽

Hi iv got a switch oled which is so cool I only play it once a week on Thursday night Mario kart 8 with mates have all the high end games for it. But I play my 3ds every day and can’t put it down I’m buying as many as I can so I’ll always have one. Love bring it with me and the games are so cool on it just got into Dragon Quest 7/8 top games. Wish Nintendo would still make them so I can get all 4 colours and collectors edition. New 3ds xl is so cool…

Totally! Really wish Nintendo didn’t stop making older consoles. I’d still buy a brand new GBA SP and it’s games if they still made them!

If you don't mind what model you get, the og 2ds is usually the cheapest option. Or if you really really don't care I know there's knockoffs that exist from places like wish, I'm pretty sure they have 3ds firmware though.
