Go get your money back youngin that’s the wrong engine for your car…..that has less compression & horsepower than the lt1 that originally came in your caprice.thats a down grade honestly….they probably told you that to cash out on you bro you’re year caprice won’t even accept that engine with out modifications which would be going backwards being that you going from 260hp 10:1 compression ratio to a 210-220hp basic 350 😬

That's definitely no Impala SS engine. The 5.7 Impala engines have what's called an optic spark that's located behind the water pump that might be from a 91 or 92 Caprice classic they call it the baby LT

91 92 didn't have that 4.8 engine, they started I'm the 94. 91 92 93 had mostly 5.0 and 5.7

I’m sad to say that’s not an impala motor. On an impala 94-96 they put in the LT1 with the distributor behind the water pump. You should return the motor asap
