Definitely get your own lock, as a business owner you have to be hands on anyway, you got to be there when someone is fixing your machines to make sure all is good and maybe learn something along the way where you can fix yourself. Nice that you bought the cooler, just get those re-freezable ice packs then no more melted chocolates & pastries. That money counter machine is definitely going to make life easier plus less dirty hands. Keep it up Jaime, enjoyed watching this episode.

I started my vending machine business at 12 I started out with the Beaver vending machine it hasn’t got a broken part since day one. Now I have 2 full line vending machines with PayRange BlueKey with mobile payment it helps with sales tremendously.

If you use vendsoft it helps with inventory, and you put you serial number from your machines on it, so people can't say your machine is theirs. If some one tries to keep a set of keys to a machine you purchase get a lock Smith to change the lock, and use vend soft to prove the machine is your. Protect your stuff. Also there are cameras that you can get for your machines to help you catch threads and vandals. You can not sell lighters in machines, because children could buy them when they are not supposed to.

definitely replace the lock. you never know what he could be doing, ever. If u need help on it, switch out the lock when u go there to restock once a week, and call him out the next day. When he finished, switch the lock. don’t make it an inconvenience for you, but make sure your business is secured only by you. never chance business. risk vs reward jaime love you brother

I know you purchased your drinks at Sams. Have you looked into one of the distributors, (Coke or Pepsi), and buy it right from them? They usually have a central place where the trucks that stock the stores go and maybe you can get a better price from there. I don't know, but maybe it's something you can look into.

What you should do is, get your own lock 🔐 and take that one off and when you need him to come and fix it put that lock back on it and then when they are done put yours back on it. I know it sounds like a lot but it works, that’s what the vending machine company ( for it’s Coke and Pepsi) does that I work for

I know in my state, you have to be over 18 to buy a lighter; most stores keep them behind the counter. I think you should have gotten the bigger cooler. It isn't just the chocolate you will put into it; you also have buns, rice krispie treats, etc. I am designing a vending machine for my car wash technology company. I have two separate serviceable area's; the product and electronic area and the money and processor area. Both can have separate locks for the owners security.
