Keith, I have decided that somewhere near to 50% of my enjoyment in watching you videos is your humorous one liners and dry funny statements. Never stop. This series promises to be quite interesting. We in the US rarely see machine tools not made here, and built quite a long time ago. everything else is Asian and as to quality, much is less than good. American, German, and British machine tools have always been superior, so it will be fun watching your refurbishment. Once again, great video. ;-)

I have a lot of respect for your daughter after hearing that she ran in the Sahara. I tried running on a beach a few years ago and decided if the zombie apocalypse were to happen that day, I would I would not last long. I look forward to seeing updates on your newest additions to your shop.

Ooooo... I can't wait to see the high-tech variable speed motor! That should be quite interesting. Thanks for your efforts in making these, they really are a treat.

As the motor fitted to the Lathe was a good one, I decided to keep it. You will see why as the series unfolds.

I watch your videos every day. I have a ML7 myself. It was refurbished a few years so this should prove to be a very interesting series. Many thanks.

There were too many missing parts to make it a practical video proposition. I gave it to a friend of mine.

Nice find Keith ! It's a pity you couldn't take that old bench it was stood on, that looked pretty sturdy ! P.S. Tell Emma that running marathons in deserts isn't normal behaviour and apologise for whatever you did to make her the way she is ! I've never heard of such craziness !

Whats better myford or boxford lathe? I have a myford. The handle which I suppose is designed to engage or disengage drive doesnt do that. No motor on it. So at hand speed turning pulley with lever pulled still the pulley free wheels

Personally I prefer Boxford lathes because they are just a bit larger. In my Workshop I use my trusty old Boxford more that the others.

Thanks Keith your video just came at the right time as I'm in the process of going to look at a Super 7 hopefully to buy, now I know how to carry out some checks. This one looks well used and needs a repaint, it does not have any extras in the way of tools just a three jaw chuck, asking price £1,100 hopefully may come down a little. Thanks again always look forward to your video's.

A six by eight foot garden shed would not be considered a good size for a meatal working shop. Yet the previous owner did work in it which proves that where there is a will there is a way.

Somehow I'm first again. Must be something to do with Myfords. 👍 Regardless. I am still impressed with your respect for the seller and not simply taking everything just because it's there.

Dear Sir, The "not ripping off 90 yo widows" remark is a hefty balance for all your unkind girlfriends comments. Or, maybe, i thoroughly misinterpret english humour. So i will just keep laughing unashamedly. Moderately restricted cheers from Brazil. 😶 Edit: Many years ago, when i was just a wee child, me father imported a Boxford, but it was confiscated at customs. Many years later, he bought a chinese lathe. It looked nice on the dinning room, but, eventualy, it found a home at a friend's industry.
