The PlayStation 3 is an awesome console, and now is the perfect time to collect for it! There's a ton of games still locked to the platform, and while I can't cover them all, it's still the only place to play Metal Gear Solid 4, the Resistance Trilogy, inFamous 1-2, Mod Nation Racers, Killzone 2-3 and more! What are some of your favorite PS3 games?

There’s so many that I’ve still yet to play or haven’t listed but a few are, transformers war & fall of cybertron, force unleashed 1&2, Lollipop chainsaw plus various lego and cod games.

I started collecting for the playstation 3 and its really fun too collect and buy games for it, the only issue is the sixaxis controllers, its really hard too find some good working controllers for a good price

That's the rub! The controllers tend to have dead batteries in them. I have 4-5 that still hold charge though. Much prefer the actual Sony branded one's compared to 3rd party.

I recently hooked up both of our PS3 consoles to play again. We stopped using it because we got a PS4 for blu-rays (but then the HDMI died on it), but since we stream more than physical discs just stopped using them. Plus, the battery on the controllers died. I did buy battery replacements on the 2 controllers, but am waiting on a shell replacement as one controller shell broke during the replacement. I do already have the Batman games (and some others), but picked up Silent Hill Downpour as I never played it. I know it isn't the best Silent Hill game, but is fun so far to try out. I do plan to get more games eventually.

I recently bought a PS3, and it now has me considering selling my PS5. Games were just more fun in this generation, I had a friend come over and do couch multiplayer and it’s the most either of us have laughed in a while. Sure not everything’s a gem and playing a PS3 on a modern 4K TV does look a bit ugly, and you suddenly notice how bad some frame rates are. But I don’t think it’s nostalgia talking to say I miss an era where it felt like developers cared about their games

@@KaylenZechariah yeah it’s a real gem machine. I’m gutted I bought a Slim model because I’d love to play PS1,2 and 3 games on it, but it’s a lot cheaper! Maybe I’ll buy a PS2 and just live in the 2000’s forever!

I have my original backwards compatible ps3 and bought a few games back in the day. A couple of years ago a KZbin video brought me back to the fold. From then on I’ve collected over 500 games and I’ve seen the prices go up and up. It’s a fantastic console. I love my ps3 phat x2. PS3 slim x 2. PS3 super slim x 2 and and PSP 😀

I've been playing my PS3 Slim for the last couple of years on my projector at 130 inches image size. It's the best. Motorstorm, Mortal Kombat, Tomb Raider, Heavenly Sword, Dead Or Alive, Street Fighter, Reflex, Colin McRae Dirt. I have maybe 60 disc games, plus this thing plays PS1 games too and I have Pro Skater 3 and 4, Tekken 2, and a couple of others for that real nostalgia from 25 years ago

Infamous 1,2 and Festival of Blood need to be remastered for PS4/5, it could just be my PS3 but the first infamous had a lot of jaggies, either because it was low resolution or lack anti aliasing, a remaster would fix that.

Still have my 2010 PS3 60GB. Still works great. Havent played a game on it in a few years. Use it for blue ray movies. I'm never getting rid of it. Even when it quits working I'll either have it refurbished or just put it up for display.
