Find this really interesting. You guys inspired me to jump into 996 ownership. I recently bought a 60k mile manual C4S for just £20k, paint is swirly but underside and interior is mint. Crazy how the market has dropped on these cars! Now im studying your videos before buying a test bonnet and learning to tackle the paintwork 😊

Jon, I agree. Whack an Areo kit on it, spend the money making it an absolute minter, then relax and enjoy it. With an Areo kit it'll just give it that wow factor. Chrome alloys not so sure but it was definitely a thing in the States back in 2001, practically every US made car had Chrome rims. Lastly what's the update with The Red Peril??

Nice car, I'd rather have an aerokit c2 or if going for a rarer model the 40th Anniversary has a better spec and similar prices currently as there seem to be a few about on the market. Another great vid - keep them coming!

@@davida7713 I did mean John with me. He was very much, “it needs paint, it needs a gearbox rebuild, it needs tyres” . Dan was, “only paint if you want concourse finish (never gonna be concourse), gearbox may just need a bit of WD40, no MOT advisories on tyres, all good”.

not really m8, Dan spots all the things and I then go on to talk about them for the vid. But we both felt this car was cool. Not a minter but there was a good deal to be had. It was sort of like a small easy project for Rod the buyer. Get the gearbox investaged and sorted. swap sun roof motor out. Then just clean and polish it and enjoy it and do the paint later. there will be other things lurking as its a 25 year old sports car.
