As a foreigner, you still have a long way to go when it comes to the ins and outs of motor REPAIRS in the Philippines, so the best option for you is to buy a new one with a 2 year warranty. Also, do not limit yourself to just one small dealer, there are hundreds or thousand of dealers out there. Go to a large dealer where you will not only get more selections but also a better price!
@kuysvonito66882 жыл бұрын
The reason why the ORCR is still with the dealer because its not yet fully paid. I suggest getting a brand new motorcycle is the best option. Make sure also that you can use your driving license here in the Philippines. Try calling LTO so you can have a better information about owning and driving a vehicle here in the Philippines as a foreigner. Better be clear than a lot of gray areas later on.

Things To Consider Before Buying: - monthly parking cost - eventually you'll need a local non-professional drivers license, they'll even ask for it before purchasing (if you're planning to use an international DL for the meantime) You can still buy a vehicle even using a local Student License first - annual motorcycle registration - warranty, freebies like change oil, etc. - repairs and repair shops - driving laws/ rules of the Philippines, you might be prone to encounter corrupt traffic enforcers and how to deal with them.

@ Mergim I’d go new zero issues. It’s super cheap and a great deal. My E-bike cost me $2,500. So $1,600 for a brand new scooter is a steal. If it were me, I’d go Honda for the solid brand name.

there are dealers that go for credit cards, and you can set it as installment with lower interest. in-house financing is really expensive in motorcycle dealers Philippines so do not ever go with financing with motorcycle. Go with Honda scooters as they are really reliable. Find a dealer that accepts credit card so you can finance it in credit. I think yzone shop dealer at wheeltek shop dealer accept credit card and maybe those bdo 12-month payment installment

First and foremost, before buying your scooter, make sure you have a PARKING SPACE in your condo bldg or if they will allow you to park for free. I'm saying this because of experience. Our condo used to provide free parking for bikes and motorcycles. Now only bikes, motorcycles are now on paid slots. It would be headache if you park your bike elsewhere or pay a premium at your condo parking area. Second, ALL motorcycle dealerships DO that. They charge a STAGGERING PREMIUM on mortgages and won't sell you in CASH or when they do so, on a marked up higher price. I was once on the market on buying a scooter, on cash and they gave me all the hullabaloo. I ended up with nothing, still doing alright though with my Mazda 2.

From what I've seen and heard is if you buy a new scooter, you'll have to wait for 3 months before you can use your scooter. I think it has to do with the registration. And yes better you get a second hand one but do be careful as most second hand scooters are a crapshoot. As for scooter brands there many scooters out there that are more affordable and has the same specs and performance as the Japanese brands. Try looking at the new SkyGo KP150 it has Honda ADV specs and features. Or look at a Kymco 150 scooter as well. Or CF Moto scooters. These may be Chinese or Taiwanese brands but they are quite popular in Europe and has good quality as well. Last tip if you're gonna buy a second hand scooter bring along a friend who knows what to look at and can give a solid assessment of the scooter.

My take? Get the safest & reliable one & if you can afford it, pay cash … preferably, a brand new motor scooter as it’s fully warranted (2 years, you mentioned?) Please be safe always … safety should always be your utmost concern. I enjoy watching your videos & great content & superb quality at that. 😊 Would like to add to this comment for consideration: Please get a full insurance coverage (comprehensive) on your motor scooter that will help to pay to replace or repair your scooter if it’s stolen or damaged in an incident that’s not a collision, as well as liability coverage that pays for property damage and/or injuries to another person caused by an accident in which you’re at fault…if this is offered there in the Philippines. We are insurance poor here in America and it’s also mandatory and the law to have a vehicle insurance.

I was actually planning to launch my own channel with a couple of 🔫 range videos, but I had to shelf the footage after a buddy pointed out that it would probably get me steamrolled faster than you can say "Community Guidelines." So yeah, good call posting your 🔫 range footage on another platform. To answer your question, I would recommend investing in a Honda or a Ducati if you intend to stay for the long haul. Otherwise, a brand-new Suzuki seems like the best option, and would save you a ton of trouble down the track. Used vehicles are always a hit or miss kind of deal. Getting it checked by a mechanic prior to the purchase could mitigate your risk somewhat, but still isn't an ironclad guarantee.

If you're planning to travel around the Philippines and not just within the city, just buy a Honda ADV 160. We have many rough roads and holes here, especially on the national highways. For maxi scooter adv 160 is the latest and has good specs. It is much more comfortable for you because of the shock and torque, which are good for your weight. He can handle the incline road. Take a few minutes to gather your thoughts up about gettin a scooter, mate. Contemplate and enjoin future considerations and weigh your astronomical points on pros and cons. Also, if you'd like to consider the ff: 1. How long to stay in the Philippines 2. Convenience & transport savings 3. Fastest & easiest accessibility 4. Depreciation of a brand new vs. pre-owned 5. Maintenance save-up 6. Resale value (if you have plan of reselling); And others. Mate, one positive note that I see about gettin' yourself a scooter is mainly for the travel vlogs - it's your job. You can get off from BGC anytime you want and go somewhere in the outskirts or even far north/south. Just drive safely & defensively, mate.
