Behdad Eghbali's model doesn't consider or value goodwill in his balance sheet. He lacks a cultural understanding in his newly acquired asset. Suggesting a strong P&L trumps winning and losing indicates someone completely out-of-touch with sports today. For that reason, I'd recommend any potential investor in Clearlake Capital Groups products or services re-think their strategies. 18 months on, Chelsea's financial position is regressing, the clubs goodwill is eroding, the teams quality is diminishing. Sir Jim Ratcliffe recently said (about Manchester United), ROI isn't paramount to him, and that the primary focus is a return to winning, and improvement of culture (shortly after he acquired staff from Manchester City). Behdad Eghbali is the worst owner in sports today - would you really risk your capital in Clearlake Capital Group?

Little scary when they struggle for words about France. It's obvious France has a boatload of talent, but they get scarily close to linking that with black/African immigration. They continued that way of thinking into a quick discussion on African footballers and how they can "use" French connections to funnel Africans into their football academies. They do all of this without mention for socioeconomic factors and fail to see communities of color as harboring anything less than potential capital gains via football talent, rather than human beings. This is why entertainment sports is eerily similar to American slavery.
