Your new to you sound equipment really added to that epic voice-over 😎 I would not recommend to anyone to get any FS MTB built before 2009. Geometry has changed drastically, pre 2009 frames cant handle more than 26 inch tires, bottom brackets are difficult to find, drivetrains cant be converted easily, and so on. Find something between 2012 and 2018 if you go used, but know that folks still want $6000 for their 6 year old FS. The Bike Boom made it a sellers market.
