Lens Calibration should also be checked.Sometimes lens doesn't focus accurately in Autofocus mode when shooting with view-finder.

At 7:00 in the vid, you said "lens will send information into the camera" That's wrong. Vice versa happens here. Camera will send to the lens and lens will accept the focal length commands from camera. As such lens doesn't have any information to send to the camera.
