A little advice. Go to Home Depot and buy a couple of sheets of drywall and cover all the insulation with them. It is unhealthy to stay in a place where the insulation is exposed. If you don't have a large truck, take the measurements before you go to the store and cut the sheets in the parking lot. You will have a healthier place to stay, will look a lot nicer and don't cost much. Great videos!

My son's have matthews solo cams passed on from my late uncle.....I know they are over 10 yrs old so I took them to the local bow shop to see if they were ok to shoot. Tech said they were in great shape and my uncle must've taken really good care of them. Saved me from having to buy new bows for them....luckily the tech has parts for them if needed.....but also kids have same draw as my uncle did.

Something I enjoy doing is finding deals at pawn shops and yard sales I recently purchased a bowtech fuel (2014 model) and it was very lightly used. After further research I found the bow to range from 500-600 brand new and I talked the guys down to 125 and tax brought me to 130. And it was all factory accessories and the string and cables had zero ware!!! I love the bow!!!

I bought a high country archery power extreme pro for 50$ at a pawn shop and had no problems with it from the looks of it the string was new had a a quiver and new whisker biscuit it was made in 2000-2001 because of the mossy oak original break up camo pattern was on it it may 19 years old but I really like it. I believe sometimes u can go cheap and older for a good price you just have to know what your looking at or getting

I recently bought a new in box 2007 Parker Hornet Plus 2 on eBay for a really good price. I'm not sure the exact date the bow was built but I was told it was within the last 2 years. Built from old stock parts at the factory. The bow arrived and was new, never been shot. Strings were in excellent condition. But the bow was pulling 82 lbs! It was only a 70 lb bow. I found the string had stretched over an inch and threw out the ATA and brace height. Ordered a new set and installed them. Brought the bow back to factory specs and gave it a good tune. I shot it through the chronograph with a 458 gr arrow and got a consistent 297 fps! I wouldn't recommend a novice archer trying this because I put a good 4 hours of work changing out string and cables and getting this perfectly tuned. The older dual cam bows are notorious for being hard to tune. Stick with a newer bow if you are new to archery.

your video makes me want to buy a new, (used), bow so I can try this new technology. It's apparent that many people enjoy a loyalty to their old, dependable, inherited equipment. I also have old and inherited stuff that I defend to the end. this video, and others like it, are encouraging me to try the newest generation of bows though, thank you for that. God bless.

Really loving your vids. Sorry not on any social media but just purchased a PSE brute x and collecting it next week. Super excited but a touch nervous. First bow and all. Second hand and not much of a clue what to do. So lots of your videos will be watched. Wish me luck and thanks for the great advice/tips. 🤙🏻

Great video like usual! You know, looking back it is really interesting to see how quickly compound bows have evolved. I still have my old PSE spyder from the late 90's that I got for my sixth birthday and when I compare it to the Hoyt spyder 30 that I am currently shooting it is just mind blowing how much has changed in just under 20 years. Shoot, when I upgraded from my old Hoyt razortec last year I was amazed with how much had changed since I had gotten that bow. Dang, talking about how much these bows have changed in my lifetime makes me feel old and I am only 23 ha ha.

That happened to me this year I bought my first bow used it's a hoyt raptor it was well maintained but I can't fully adjust to my draw length because I would have to buy new cams. It's good bow I will used it for maybe 2 or 3 seasons but the truth is if I knew than what I know now I wouldn't have purchased because I had to replace the strings and cables put a new sight and a new weight at the end I end up paying more for all that and the price of the used bow than if I had purchased a new one.

Jayden Lampton I myself wouldn't be caught dead shooting a crossbow! Haha. But that said I'm not against them at all. I have disabled relatives that would lose out on archery hunting if it weren't for crossbows, and it's undeniably a great way to introduce kids to hunting. At this stage in my life it's not for me. But as I age and my kids do too and become of hunting age, I'll undoubtedly own one in sure. :)

I am currently looking for a bow to replace my 1990s Browning. What do you think of PSE Prophecy there is a guy with one that seems to be a good deal. I feel like I really cannot go wrong with anything newer but am not exactly sure what would be best for me. I mainly whitetail hunt. Thanks for any insight on this!!!

I think for $100 if the bow is in good shape is a good deal! Definitely want to check out all of its components and the strings and cables to see if anything is damaged or needs replaced.

Great information but if you buy a used bow or something see if you can find somebody that can help you and educate you with the knowledge however there's too much shit that goes into these bows it's probably not even worth getting one of the way I see it I almost bought one for $20 but I didn't know enough about it so I walked away and I thought what the hell you know why you didn't mess with this thing I do better with my guns and I would with this anyway just a matter of opinion I would never buy a bow too much shit involved

Hi Jack. I am completely new to compound archery. I have a chance to buy a Parker Buck Hunter with a lot of accessories. here is the CR listing york.craigslist.org/spo/d/parker-buck-hunter-compound/6444699414.html. It comes with a case, a trigger and a wrist guard. It also has the sight and the whisker biscuit. It seems pretty complete. Do you think it is a good deal and is that brand and model a good bow?
