I drive a 1991 W124. It's simply BULLET PROOF and made to last. Japanese or Korean cars are not even close to the build quality of MB especially the older models... Maintenance costs are not too high if you source your parts correctly... Once you drive a Benz you're HOOKED.

Yes older Benzes were better built. Since 2000s onwards they are middle of the pack as per consumer reports US UK last twenty years or so ...

123 and 124 era are really bullet proof. Newer mercs can become a headache to maintain

Review much appreciated. Own Sorento and it’s xpensive to maintain. AC filter costs 12k and Air filter 7 k plus taxes. Need to replace on need basis or 10 k appr. Oil and filter costs 9000 k depends upon 4/6 litre. KIA is expensive than Japanese. I launched complaint with KIA but to no avail.

This car is for those who want to show off that they have a Mercedes. 10 years old. No service network. Expensive to maintain. Performance same as Sonata but needs hi octane. No rear camera, no songs over bluetooth. The list is endless. No comparison with a Sonata.

Even though what you’re saying is true but you’ve to see that the merc is literally 10yrs older then the sonata it’s obvious that the sonata will have better tech then it so its kinda unfair to compare the two but the class and comfort of the merc is unmatched even after 10yrs

@@shaggy2198 If you willfully step outside of your comfort zone, you can still purchase a Toyota Crown Athlete from 2005 to 2008 in the same price range. One such vehicle is unquestionably more upscale in terms of comfort and technology, as well as being without a doubt more dependable than any German competitors at the time.

Sorry, but if you come to know at least a 2008 Toyota Crown Hybrid, a mid-size luxury car that was more than refined in comfort, inventive with tech, dependable than Germans brands of that era. No doubt, holds more value in the used market of today, you won't have to worry to travel to workshops as regularly. Following your analysis, I can only compare the 2005 Toyota Crown Athlete with the W212 in the same price point.

Good review. I am here in Canada. There is a trend here that folks who buy MB E-Class, normally drive it 80-100 thousand kilometers and then try to get rid of that car, because they know that from there on, car will start breaking down and can be very costly to maintain. MB E-Class is notoriously bad in all other Mercedes Models. C-Class and S - Class are a lot better than E-Class cars. I have a friend who drove around 250.000 kilometers without any maintenance cost other than usual oil/filter stuff. But, i know other three E-Class owners who started crying around 90-100 thousand kilometers. I have an S-class and already crossed 300,000 kilometers without any major issue. Zero to 100 Kms is just 5.2 seconds. Brutally quick.

The W211 E class was notoriously known for unreliability so many fluid leakages, but they made W212(the e class in the video) very solid very reliable built to last forever

Zahir hai german gaari hai maintain mehngi hogi... sonata local assemble hai to sasti paregi... per mercedes ki feel sonata nhi degi. Jese peeche bhai ne z fold 3 rakha hua hai pr mere bhai ye kholne k baad bhi tab ka maza nhi deta😉. By the way i m also using z fold 3. Waiting for fold 4.🤦🏻‍♂️

Aoa I have Mercedes Benz w211 2005 using it from 2005 and it is Dam reliable car never went to work shop just for oil change and plz don't compare it with cheap sonata

Mercedes is more reliable than all other cars available in pakistan. The maintenance cost is equal to honda if you get the service done from honda not comparing with local jugari mechanics. I own the same 212 and its a premium car and true head turner. Parts are easily available in isb/rwp. One thing I disagree they need extra care, you just need hi-octane and original engine oil.
