@@RacoonFuji Jonny Myatt from the Sutherland area in Sydney has a fascination with 1990's mtb's even though he was just out of school near the end of this decade whilst living in the U.K. He moved here in 2009 . He "tries" to buy up good bicycles and forks of the 1990's category and decade . He hoards them instead of enjoying them by riding them occassionally which is what you should do to keep them functional . He puts a video about each one on "Sydney Retro Mtb" on here then mothballs them .

Selling bikes from the 50's and 60's is about done too, unless odd or rare.

hey jason, good to see zeke back in a video. what would you have sold this bike for if you just did a quick service to ensure everything worked. replaced tires and tubes. or if you just had zeke do all the work . i am aware you have high standards. not saying you should lower them. last point, since this was a project can you factor in labor cost in your profit margin. i know i asked too many questions. and the expectation is just a " cool build man" and it was, see you next time.

I could lower my standards. I could make more money by cutting corners but I just can't do it. Anything that has my name on it has to be right. I can't help it. It was how I was brought up. When I was doing contract work with Amazon building bikes I did lower my standards a little bit but I still built those bikes right and I aways left a business card behind for a free check-up after 30 days. It was a way to bring in people that didn't know I existed. Thanks for sharing.👍

I don't know who to trust when buying second hand bicycles now . I only buy from people who I have known for some time or people who don't mind a police record check .

Times like these, I can understand that. I found out about Jason a few years ago, even needed some parts. He sent me to another source that could assist me better. Great guy and I believe to be honest. I know you don't know me from Adam, as well I only know Jason from his videos, a few comments and questions. as well as him on C&C, Seems like a totally legit man to me. Second thought here, they are not rich and peddle bicycles are going down in popularity. In my humble opinion is simply if he is a crook, I would think he'd be out of business by now, so many years later. Hope this little tidbit helps you.

@@marcpavlik Pedal only bicycles are getting less popular primarily due to the food delivery mass rental sector and budget ebike pedalecs . Bafang spearheaded this . Bosch followed shortly after but mid market upwards . Bosch failures have been increasing due to floods last month across eastern Australia . I am in Sydney . I get work as there are inadequate service locations for Bosch and turnaround leaves a bit to be desired .

@@robertmcfadyen9156 Cars and Cameras, is another youtube channel with Jason's brother Isaac that helps star in the channel. Isaac also has another channel of his own called Isaac It'll be fine. All of these fellows are salt of the earth and their found youtube fame hasn't changed any of these people, Jason as well, are stable and worthy of being watched by any family. Jason has been on these other channels (at least Isaac It'll be fine, and just act as normal, honest and human like they did when they started out years ago.

What tires are those ? I just bought a 2007 Specialized Hardrock for $40 nice bike mostly almost new components with the exception of the rims are mismatched what are you thoughts on Wheel Master Weinmann rims ? I want to stay with rim brakes . This is my 3rd HR I own 2 others.

The tires have a tread called A-bite as for the Wheel Master wheels as long as the rims are double wall they are good.👍
