As an artist bless you for not buying those stickers and explaining exactly WHY you should never buy those things. I've had my art stolen while I skipped meals, so thanks for standing up for us like this, the entire community and I appreciate it more than you think. I now watermark my art, lower the DPI, Glaze and Nightshade it, but years ago I was more lenient, I learned my lesson. Thanks again.

I'm glad that resonated with you. It's definitely a tricky thing to convey especially when people just see anime stuff and don't think much about it. But I don't think people realize how much work goes into making art like this and turning it into a proper business - so I make sure to support however I can.

My thought exactly at the time. Then I realized that while the copyright is out on steambot Willie, the art that was on the clothes was probably not one of the Disney images. It could have been a different artis that drew it after it went public. And while you CAN use the character for free (including all the images from the original movie and its advertisements), the image you newly create still is copyrighted on its own merits as a given, new product. Samy why you can make a Romeo and Juliette adaptation and still sell it and chase for breaking copyright anyone that tries to copy it.

@@kikixchannel Yeah but you have to make something at least slightly derivative to be able to go after others, that's literally how Disney ran for decades, taking old stories and adding and removing story details. We don't really have examples of artists making slight adjustments because everyone is afraid of having their work immediately enter the public domain because it is really close to an already existing piece in the domain. So everyone is doing heavily different work, like the Pooh slasher movie.

@@hamzasultan96 Not exactly. Something you make, unless it's pretty much a 1 on 1 copy, would not become a public domain on the spot. For example, you can very much sell an old book, word for word, but simply by it having a new cover, formatting you selected etc, it is 'yours' and cannot be copied. Of course, anyone else can use the exact same story...but they're copying the original story, not your book. Likewise, Winnie the Pooh slasher could very much copy the original movie (or the books story if the first movie isn't part of the public domain) 1 to 1 and it still would be protected by copyright, simply on the lone fact of it being a MOVIE. An adaptation by its very nature is 100% protected by copyright. You don't see artists making just slight adjustments because it's simply pointless. Rather, I'd say it's actually shameful for an artist. It shows lack of artistic skills. And if it's a movie or some such, if it's too close to the original, what's exactly stopping anyone from just...watching the original for free, instead of paying you for the similar copy?!

Also, with that speaker, I enjoy that you showed a Costco...which is the only store that doesn't have storewide announcement speakers. (Before anyone argues, I worked there for 8 years. About the corn cutter... oh yeah, I absolutely love those things. I love fresh corn on the cob, but I hate getting all kinds of bits of corn skin/fibers/cob stuck between my teeth. And a corn cutter gets the kernels off of the cob so much more safely than a kitchen knife.

Years ago a remote toy used cristals Not real cristals but something that held the radio signal that was really bad it had interfirence galore they found a signal at 2.4 ghz that did not make your toy do things you did not want to like drive in to the road while a car was coming. that is what the 2.4 was for.
