BUYING MY FIRST PET | aquarium setup 🐡🧡

Fellow fish girl here! I own 7 fish and used to have 2 goldfish, My goldfish are what got me into the fish world/hobby😭 ever since then i keep bringing bettas home every time i leave the house! 🤣 I used to own Goldfish and heres what i had for mine! (just for a little help :D) -30 gallon tank (for 1 goldie, some snails & lots of plants & decor such as, drift wood & large rocks!) -Fluval Stratum & sand substrate to top it off (I use sand, fluval & rocks for my bettas currently!) -Heater for winter (or when temperatures dropped) -Live plants (anubis, amazon sword) -Thermometer -Decent filter (normal filter or sponge filter) (I used to use normal filters that come with the cartridges but now i used sponge filters since they are friendly) -bubble stone and air pump for oxygen (i put the bubble stone inside the sponge filter) -Bright light for plant growth (I usually kept it on for 12 hrs then turned it off for 12-18) -Net & plant tools -API water conditioner -API quick start (usually only used for my bettas) -API Aquarium salt (Salt can improve gills, reduce stress, and thickens mucus coat. It can also boost a fish's immune system to help prevent future illnesses. also treats fungus & external parasites) -API stress coat (for stress) -Seachem flourish (for plant growth) -API master test kit (to test water) -Various types of food including: (pellets, frozen food,etc.) I know it seems like a lot but all of it helped SOOOOO much when i had my two babies, they passed away because of a mistake of mine which i will not forgive myself for. i come to help people to make sure it never happens to them because losing a pet & best friend is heart breaking even if the best friend is a fishy 💔🐟 your setup looks awesome by the way! i can tell you have a little bit to learn about your fishy but besides that it looks good!! good luck on your fishy journey! 💕i know him/her just LOVES their new home!

Hey just wanna give you some advice goldfish don’t really like being alone so it would be best to buy another one also those crystal are they fish save and lastly did you give the tank a couple days to cycle other then that great tank

The tank cycled for a week before I purchased the fish! I did tons of research and the crystals are completely safe! He does need a friend but at this time they don’t have any more fish in my area 😵‍💫. Thank you for your concern 🙂‍↕️🫶🏽
