Google says : If a starfish leg is lost, the starfish will be able to grow a new one. And as long as the lost limb has at least some of the central disc area, it can develop into a second starfish. The whole process can take up to a year or more. Crazy!

Fun fact: mantis shrimp have the best eyesight in the entire animal kingdom. They are the only species that can see beyond the ultraviolet spectrum. We can only see up to the ultraviolet spectrum and even then only with special gear.
