colleen i saw a tiktok about the history of the color pink and why it is associated with girls. It actually was a big moment in female empowerment. I'll recap it here for anyone who wants to learn but pink wasn't actually assigned a gender up until Mamie Eisenhower ( President Eisenhower's wife) her favorite color was pink and wore it constantly because she liked it so much. She became such an iconic role to woman and her fashion at the time really was what started the new trends of fashion that would later follow. So pink being a girl color isn't a bad thing and it actually shows women empowerment at a time when women were starting to make more of a name for themselves by working in factories after WW2. It is quite interesting. Pink isn't just for girls but it in history has shown to be an important part of a women's strength and power. Just wanted to share what i learned recently.

I think it never matters to kids what color toys are. Flynn is like "I don't care what color it is, all I see is dar dar and big truck." It's amazing that Colleen is such a supportive mother and giving her children access to all toys and letting them pick what they like, but it's also hilarious that her first son (Wes and Maisy are still babies) is the most stereotypical boy and drawn to trucks and cars and bugs. I'm glad that he is being introduced to all toys even if they aren't his favorite, plus maybe one of his new siblings will like toys like this and Flynn will be open to playing with them. (:
