In today’s video, I visited a local fish store in search of a parasite, eating fish. I needed this specific fish due to the amount of new Fish I have added to the aquarium, with higher chances of disaster in this aquarium, these will help prevent that as best as possible!

With algae / dirty sand, I’d recommend getting a sea cucumber! They eat all of the junk and then poop out clean sand. They are bright orange and would be nice color on the bottom, the only issue is that if they get irritated or touched too much they could shoot their intestines out and release toxins. It’s scary but we have them in my tanks at schools and have had them for a while and they seem perfect!

You should get a few sand sifting gobies, they will not only sift sand and eat green algae, they eat nuisance Cyanobacteria "slime algae" and even some pest flatworms.

75% of what Paul dumped in that pond lasted less than a month before ending up dead. Same thing would happen to gobies if he cared enough to put them in there

Gobies don’t prefer to eat cyano or algae. They want pods and other bugs/worms in the sand. And dude all you did was copy and paste this from biotas website 🤦🏻‍♂️

Just a tip something to point out those wrasse are beautiful and do their job but be careful please please please pay attention to their behavior they will be quick to clean the fish but will then go ahead to harass the clean fish and stress them over and over and over to the point that they will be getting sick over and over and over and it kills the fish. And the smaller fish can be severely stressed by the wrasse. This is a behavior that is very common that benefits the cleaner wrasse but ruins the life of the other fish. Your pond is nice and big and you keep lots of medium to big sized fish which will lower the chance of any problems substantially and will distribute the cleaning and the risk of the smaller fish low but keep an eye out. 3 of those wrasse for that pond is more than enough. Also consider deeply thinking moving the Harlequin Tusk as even tho it goes after every invert (from sad experience over and over lol) and have a somewhat mean appearance they are super shy and will without a doubt be killed by the miniata or spooked by the Jack if those 2 large fish don’t accept its presence . Just something to look out for and think about hope Lulu feels better. I hope this little info helps the most it can!

Paul if you want to help control the algae in your reef tank get an ozone generator. I have one in my 300 gallon and it makes the water crystal clear and kills algae and parasites. I run my 3 hours a night and my water is crystal clear.

@@yahyawarsi2632 puffers are far more active and hide less than the sharks he has in there. It hasn’t been seen in weeks. Additionally, if you know anything about Paul’s history, it’s a pretty easy assumption to make that the animal is dead.

While there are no live corals in the saltwater pond you can run the lights as less as possible like 4-6 hours a day on a timer if not you can use them only when you or viewing/recording the pond that will help prevent unwanted algae from growing. Being that you have a ton of tangs they should definitely help as well keeping algae growth down. As always beautiful pond though I love the updates on this pond..

The algae is also fed by the phosphates, excess food, waste in the water. You can look into using phosp x in your filters. It helps.

The most effective reef clean up crew member for a clean sandbed are tiger conch snails. You wouldn't need too many either, ~6 conchs would suffice. Add a spider conch if you want something that is more "exotic" looking.

Also change your light spectrum on the radions, take away the red and green almost to 0 as that spectrum will grow more algae

CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION!!!! Paul just want you to know drowning is the number one cause for outdoor pets. We have a pool and never thought would have an issue with our perimeter fence with locking gates but have had two so just wanted to inform you being that there are multiple animals extremely close to your soon to be pool. I don’t think with how many big tangs are in the pond it will ever be a good time to add a Moorish Idol. That’s the reason the copperband “disappeared”. PAUL if you want to get a moorish idol put it in the reef tank inside. You could get an idol and a copperband since they both eat the same foods and won’t be as aggressive as tangs. Then you could add a bunch of lyretail anthias and other small fish
