I've had the Scat Pack and the GT. I don't regret owning the Scat Pack because it was a blast to drive, but it didn't make much sense. The GT looks almost exactly the same, has the same transmission, and even the same tires. If you're prone to destroying a set of rear tires, you can still do that with a GT.

I really enjoy my 2019 V6 GT. It’s plenty quick enough, and the difference per month for insurance between the GT and the 392 was over $130/month. If I made another $10k a year, I may have considered the V8 392 engine, but again, the V6 GT gets the job done for me.

Just bought 2021 Charger GT plus.rwd It's fully loaded with brimbo brakes. $44,200 with tax,plates gap insurance etc $49k 0% for 72 months Financing $648 plus $200 car insurance. 7k more to have the R/T, plus insurance rate increases Pockets dried up and that's why I'm not in the V8.

This car keeps value and can be fun and can be everyday drive. A hemi on an everyday drive it’s just a waste. In my opinion I wouldn’t get V8 I guess I don’t like to race or do burn outs or none of that. To me is about been sporty having a nice tint and a nice stereo and just cruise and use it for everyday if I need it to.

And the 5.7 was a friends modified and a lighter weight challenger... it was sluggish and turn in has ALL the hemis weight on the nose,... and mildly had more mid range punch ... even the heavier charger 6.4 Daytona I drove was borderline scary to “test out” that’s where the major upgrade was. In my opinion.

Good review and good advice too Thanks. I recently rented a 2020 Charger GT for 4 days and 700 miles. Very nice car drives great,brakes and steers good and actually runs pretty impressive for a naturally aspirated 6 cylinderr in a full size sedan. But i would certainly recommend the Hemi or Hellcat if you want some true power.

I own a Challenger GT in Go Mango. It's a great car. Had a Scat Pack but there was a constant ticking coming from the engine. According to a mechanic I talked to it's a lifter issue with all Hemi equipped Chargers and Challengers. Glad I got rud of it.
