Was Thunderdome 2 a separate event on its own or part of another event? I went to Thunderdome 1 which was part of Mysteryland on the Maasvlakte. I couldn't go to II. Depending on when you read this, I currently have that Thunderdome docu on my Google Drive. Will post it as a new comment, in case links aren't allowed, I still wanted to ask this question.

Yes it's simplistic and crude in production but you have to put this gem in to context in order to enjoy it. It still has the raw dancing power 26 odd years after. Back in the day this would have blown your mind as you would have not experience quite anything like it.

Tempo variation does it all. Had that quality once again in 2015 at a set of SpeedyJ in Serbia, 10 mins for every up and 10 for every down... Was bliss. And only happened to be there by accident. I think I've seen him once before in 1998, but not even sure who it was back then... I watched some recordings and the difference of how they play in some clubs in east europe, spain, italy to what boring crap one gets in the "great clubs" of the more western places is insane. I hope we all get lucky to listen to perfect sets again some day and place.

Great transition between the music and that cartoon very well done . Proof that electronic music from 1985-1998 era was ahead of it's time . Sadly todays Electronic music has became a joke and way too commercial EDM and too many wannabe DJ-artists that put the genre a shame . I miss those times so much the 90's the last decade were all was magic, people acted normal, there was not so many hate , people gave lesser critics , TV was still offering quality programs and so on and so fort . I also miss Record DJ stores where you could stay whole afternoons listening to new 12" having a chance a DJ enter the store and starts to mix for free while sipping drinks and smoking . Something that got ruined with the streaming/I-Tunes bullshit and internet now everyone just stay at home and no one is meeting real people anymore all is way too virtual today .
