I've been to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland (although I am from Los Angeles, so Disneyland is my home turf). I've done both Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, and I have to say that I absolutely love both of them. Space Ranger Spin being the original blueprint for the dark rides based on our favorite galactic hero is very much 90s nostalgia to any kid who grew up with the original Toy Story and saw it in 1995. Astro Blasters feels more akin to those who loved Toy Story 2, seeing as how Space Ranger Spin opened in 1998, a year before Toy Story 2 came out, and Astro Blasters at Disneyland opened in 2005. Seeing as I prefer Toy Story 2 over the original, and because I am an angelino, I obviously love Astro Blasters more, but my respect for Space Ranger Spin cannot be understated. Disney knocked it out of the park with bringing two of my favorite films of all time to life and creating my all time favorite ride at any theme park, and I just hope these two go to infinity and beyond!
