It's that perfect that I spent the whole video listening for errors just so I know you're playing it and not miming 🤣🤣🤣 Brilliant cover 👍

Thanks mate! It took quite some effort to learn all the different guitar parts and get them correct in the mix.

Kirk Hensley 1 minute ago I spent a lot of time figuring out too late that...get this: Pete and the boys tuned up to "F". The way you're riding down to "C" and treating "F" like "E" simply spares you from having to tune up from standard "E", and makes you able to switch to the Cramps and the Sex Pistols. The song actually starts with a barred "E" on the "A" string, rides down and lands on a three fingered "E". Works either way, dunnit? Fun, I know. "I...I want you...Autonomy..." is actually F, G, and A. I learned the hard way. For further proof...kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3uUfoWplNqIitU I learned "Love Battery" rooted in "C". Pete plays from "B" and shells out a three finger "E" before going to "G".

Thanks for the insight. I always play by ear and many times that differs in chord positions as played by the artist, but in the end the result is about the same. In the case of Love Battery I had to tune my guitar flat by approx 6 Hz to match the original recording. Also during live performances bands sometimes choose to play a song a half or whole step up or down in order to accommodate the vocalist. (the Ramones are notorious for that)
@kirkhensley85985 жыл бұрын
Danzig III and IV and Slayer--South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss; Half step down. You're too right about the Ramones. I'm told we can thank Tony Iommi for dropped D and Tool's eventual adoption thereof. In any case...let's keep our ears alert!

Re: this matter of tuning. If one listens to the Steve Diggle interview on Jonesy's Jukebox (Steve Jones) it becomes clear that there was a lot of studio wizardry with the first Buzzcocks album. This would account for a lot of the album sounding a half step up. The songs were never played live in that 'key' and very likely not recorded in that 'key'. For anyone interested, live performances will make this clear.@@woodyamsterdam

FYI this ("Autonomy") plays fine here in the US, but "You Tear Me Up" will not play and has a WMG copyright violation message. Go figure. Good job as always though!

Mark Butler Nobody has a clue about the policy of WMG. And thanks again for your comment! For example, I've uploaded a Ramones song the other week and it got blocked world wide. I altered the pitch a little bit and uploaded it again and now it's not only available everywhere, I also got invited to moneytize it lol!
