You guys didn’t sneak in at all Lmao. I’ve ridden the 6 train around the loop a few times and the subway conductors are very nice about letting me do it. I got the chance to actually stand on the platform in August 2019 with the NY Transit Museum LEGALLY. It was ten minutes in my life that I’ll remember FOREVER.

I came here to say this, since I've taken the Transit Museum tour twice-which included an informative above-ground walking tour immediately before the tour; I also regularly ride the 6 train around the bend from downtown to uptown, although visibility of the station is ridiculously poor. I'm more interested to see the now-closed lower-level City Hall station on the N line going out to Brooklyn Heights, since you can actually see the station by looking down through the locked gate. I'd love to visit the 18th street station on the 6 train, since that station was closed in the 40s; that's one I've only experienced by pressing my nose to the window when the 4 or 5 train slows just before it reaches the Union Square station.

My father worked for the MTA for over 20 years - There IS a way in. Every station has "escape tunnels" that lead to the street. You would need to find one of those. People pass them unknowingly every day. Find the "emergency escape exit", and you will have access to the station.
@HereBeBarr7 жыл бұрын
Great video . I wouldn't say smuggled is the right word though.. This little trick is well known by many New Yorkers, I even made a vlog about this at the end of the winter. The conductor generally doesnt' care if you stay on the train.. Now if you had hopped off the train and walked around the abandoned station yourself, THAT would have been interesting.

Correct. Staying on the 6 train while it loops around through the old station is completely legal. They even changed the announcements at Brooklyn Bridge (on the newer R-142(a) trains that have automated announcements) to say something like "This is the last downtown stop on this train. The next stop is Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall on the uptown side." It is the only line where the announcements at the last stop don't say "Everyone please leave the train." They used to say that, but the MTA responded to pressure and changed them.

@chrismhp5 жыл бұрын
For one the Proper People did avoid going to this abandoned station. They explained this in one of their vlogs in NYC where they also rode the 6 train loop to see it. People need to wisen up. When it comes to subway stations, you are asking to get yourself killed unless you take an official tour or find an explorer who know the schedules and tracks in and out. Even then, there are always delays and hiccups in the schedule, express trains etc. so your safety is still not even guaranteed even if you know what you're doing. Steve Duncan is one of those experienced explorers, and his video they were not far from getting flattened.

@WitchidWitchid6 жыл бұрын
Well then, perhaps you can suggest how they would get in there ? One way would be to get off the train at Brooklyn bridge and go down on the tracks and walk to the old station. But there is a good change you'll get arrested or worst, run over.I guess you can ride the train through the loop and then go between cars and jump off onto the platform but if you slip or don;t make it you may very well be killed. The only safe and legal way is to sign up for a transit museum tour.

If you're unsure, pull of this "trick" a couple times and if you're still not sure you can make it, don't do it. Otherwise, intercept at Brooklyn bridge in what interval the trains come through. I'm guessing it's like 4 or 6 minutes, so you should be fine. Get off the train at Brooklyn bridge, get onto the tracks and run to City Hall. When you wanna leave, wait for a train so you have the whole interval to get back. Then run back over the tracks. Easy as that. But seeing as a) it's City Hall Subway Station and b) the finale of Fantastic Beasts and where to find them was filmed there, there are probably tours...
