Oh my. Blood Island is my place, it has always been my dream destination, I've always felt nostalgic about it as if I belonged to that. It's the chapter I've played the most since I was a little child and possibly what got me into gothic aesthetic... And now I've found out that somebody made some ambient music based on my dearest soundtrack :") thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm so grateful 🖤

I've never seen anyone describe Blood Island or Plunder how you did, it's pretty much word for word how I would describe them but couldn't. I would live in a hut on Blood Island if I could lmao.

The place certainly has a pleasant atmosphere where it feels like time runs slower, it has sense of tranquil calmness to it and it is not necessary to go, let alone rush, anywhere.

@@victorianlyy I actually bought some colored lights for the balcony of my appartment to mimic the entrance of this hotel. No kidding. At night, I often turn on those lights and listen to this soundtrack. It's so relaxing.. I feel like i'm in Blood Island and can't avoid to smile and feel happy.

The entire islands that's featured in the entire Monkey Island series has been directly inspired by the Caribbean Islands and it's history from the reign of Pirates to the British / French Colonialism. When we compare the islands which featured in Monkey Island over with Caribbean Islands, today the most similar islands to this one are the isles of Dominica, Antigua and Barbudes. However, the famous El Nino storm has been slidely damaged the nature & forests of Antigua. But still today you can smell this Monkey Island ambiance on the entire Caribbeans. For example, Goodsoup Resort that you saw here, is directly inspired from the actual manor located in Antigua, known as "The Great House of Antigua" ☀️

When I was a kid back '98 I remember watching Sesame street and hearing the riff at 0:44 there during a night scene where Kermit the frog was doing a news report outside on a street, there might have been a phone box there. Never found that scene on youtube after. Not sure if it was selective memory or if this is a common riff thats often used in other media? Curious to know

i'm pretty sure i got this game christmas of 97 and remember of course playing it a lot that week (and over the next few months iirc). at the time i think we thought it was the pinnacle of adventure games, not knowing the genre was doomed within the next few years, after Grim Fandango. i remember wanting the new Warcraft game, which at the time was an adventure game in the vein of these Lucasarts adventure games. but the genre effectively died while the game was in development, and IIRC they made WC3 instead, and Grim Fandango was the last big PNC adventure game. either way, love the MI3 soundtrack. i think this was also around the time games were going all out on soundtracks as well. hence this. haha.
