To me, that was why The Winners Board was the best era of Sale of The Century because with there, you were guaranteed to win a prize, even if it is one that would better off being an instant bargain. BUZZR should air more Winners Board episodes soon aka the rest of their Syndie run!

it is a horrible format Used by NBC intended to Cancel it in 1989 Well it Worked I Would have Cancelled it also

@@saleofthecenturyarchives1406 I think in my personal opinion that may have been NBC's idea to change the end game since The Winner's Board was sort of the front game from Concentration & Classic Concentration. Plus, all of the NBC game shows on their lineup at that point had some kind to puzzle to solve in their formats.

It's always so sad to see episodes that end with this awful bonus game instead of shopping or the winner's board.
@SecretAgentRandyBeans1114 жыл бұрын
Definitely. Shopping was the perfect format - it fit with the theme of the game, and it created a lot of suspense and risk in deciding to risk it all every episode to come back and save for a bigger prize. This game is godawful.

The shopping format was always my favorite bonus round.

This bonus game is the reason the show was cancelled by NBC in 1989.

I really don't know why you're doing the bonus games on SoTC when the game is usually decided in the 60-second Speed Round. I would prefer to see those close calls instead.

That's not fair.They need more time than 3 seconds and not people hollering "Time" and being in the way.

If the SOTC staff wanted to add this so badly, they should have mixed it up with the shopping format and that might help the champions win the big prizes quicker. Then again, I’d rather they stay with the Winner’s board and mix that with the shopping format. Because honestly, I don’t know why they added the Winner’s Big Money Game. Might be one of the worst or most unfitting bonus round formats I’ve seen.
@seanmontgomery801 Жыл бұрын
That's not enough time (3 seconds)on any game show,Sale of the Century,Family Feud,Joker's Wild etc.Should have more time even in the Winners big money game.

TERRIBLE bonus round! A wrong answer or pass pretty much doomed the contestant.

@LittleRockElevators It was the board, not Jim.

It was the brass at NBC who wanted every game show on their network to have a "traditional" high-stakes bonus round. It stuck out like a sore thumb.
