In "What's My Line" they tried to guess what the person did for a living and who the celebrity mystery guest was. In "I've got a Secret" the secrets they were guessing could be anything about the guests including some stunt or performance they would do on stage or some historic achievement or event they were involved in (the last surviving witness to Lincoln's assassination was a famous one for the show) They were similar ideas and back in the 50s and 60s various panelists (and hosts) from one show would guest appear on the other show. They were originally produced by the same people (Goodson-Todman Productions) and on the same network (CBS). Same thing goes for "To Tell the Truth," another Goodson-Todman production, where the panelists had to guess which person out of a group of three was telling the truth about who they were said to be. The original voice of Donald Duck, Clarence Nash, was one guest who was on both "What's My Line" and "To Tell the Truth" 10 years apart (1954 and 1964). At one point there was a crossover between "I've Got a Secret" and "To Tell the Truth" where the panelists switched shows for one night.

This was actually the 1st time Bob Barker met Richard Dawson, on this show and became friends til Richard disappeared from the game show world, and had gone on his own separate ways (with Barker), for good, until 17 years later, Dawson had passed away and Barker would still be around & still is @ 97, and Barker no longer made guest appearances anymore - due to obvious health reasons.
