I love when I come across another Judy Garland performance that I never heard! Thank you thank you thank you! Judy’s voice is sublime and she is the only person that could outshine Sinatra!

This is truly a newly-discovered gem! I can't believe it! The songs are great, Frank and Judy seem to be loving working together. "Gotta Be This or That" is great ... Frank: "Was I great in Anchors Aweigh?" Judy: "I adore Gene Kelly." Frank: "When I croon, do you swoon?" Judy: "I only swoon for Minnelli!" Hilarious! And the "My Romance" skit ... set in 1995!!! ... is truly a gem. I can't get over this. Many, many thanks for posting this! It's a treasure!

Spectacular, I wish the families of Danny Kaye and Mr Sinatra and Miss Garland could allow a CD to come out of this radio performance

The two best in their class. Gender is the only difference. they're two greatest voices of standards, and personalities of live entertainment. I strive for their energy and greatness when I work in small clubs in NYC, so there are people out there who want the old energy back.

Fox wanted Frank and Judy for Carousel but Rodgers rejected her and wanted Shirley Jones who.was cast with Frank who left the movie after the first day filming and Gordon Mc Rae took over

In case you're curious about the announcer asking Axel Stordahl who'll win the (World) Series. In '45, the Detroit Tigers won 4 games to 3 against the Chicago Cubs. Just in case you were curious.

yes they did. Actually Judy's love letter to Frank was in auction last year. They had an affair while Judy was still married to the gay man Vincente Minnelli

Rich Riverz It’s likely that Minnelli was bi, actually. He fell, and hard, for Judy before she did for him, on the set of Meet Me In St. Louis. He adored her, other women too.

His shots of Judy in "Meet Me in St. Louis" are thought to lovingly frame her beautiful face, reflecting his new love for her.

The arrangement used on "How Deep is the Ocean" is the same one Axel Stordahl did for Sinatra's recording of it. Garland does a nice job with it of course. Sinatra did a terrific version of "Over the Rainbow," by the way around this time (not on this show though).

Fun stuff. I'll bet Judy and Frank would've put on an even greater show if they weren't scripted. Ah well.
