Yeah, I kinda like hippos. They really don’t bother anyone and go about eating their tons of vegetation. They provide a good balance to crocs in the water because they’re the only things crocs actually fear.

@@justanordinaryman860 exactly - notice all lion vs croc videos - are multiple lions - and they still all walk away alive Crocs have ridiculously tough skin, its near impossible for them to rip through it (as it would take the same spot to do so over a long fight) and one bite of that lion, its a WRAP. it will not get out of its jaws at all, and will be dragged right in the water for a horrible death now obviously on pure land - as in land with no water anywhere at all, a few lions can stay agile around the croc and eventually (over some time) get enough of clawing and bites to stabilize it and then kill it if need be- but thats not how life works, crocs will be near their environment at all times - so while a lion(s) can fend off crocs near/off the bank of the river to take their prey and win it over (thats the most that will happen), while if that lion gets in the water, and not only deep enough that it needs to swim, rather even if the water is just chest high (obviously not a puddle, etc. lol) wherein the lion is still able to walk in it, game over for that lion

The amount of unfairness in your comment, Nile crocodiles grow to 750 kg to even 1 ton. While lions on average are 190 kg to 200 kg. On land crocodile chances of winning are lowered but still wins except if its fighting a group of lions.
