BVFD - Working Equipment Fire *Helmet Cam*

Saturday afternoon, BVFD was requested for mutual aid to Southwest Volunteer Fire Department on a working excavator fire. Upon arrival, firefighters were assigned to both fire attack, and water supply. Firefighters encountered extremely rough/muddy terrain while extinguishing the fire. The fire was marked under control approximately 15 minutes after BVFD arrival. No injuries were reported on the scene, and the cause remains undetermined. BVFD responded with three apparatus, nine personnel, and were on scene for one hour. Lee County EMA also responded to the scene.
