MNH is definitely doing right by BVNDIT so far - "Dumb" was an excellent comeback and built well upon "Hocus Pocus" and especially "Dramatic". Plus since MNH only represents Chung Ha and BVNDIT, their efforts aren't spread too thin. And...since Chung Ha had such a huge year and brought in a ton of money to the company, MNH cancelled BVNDIT's trainee debt, giving the girls a much better financial position than rookies usually have!

@@Vektorix28205 Yes I agree. Even if I love Dumb a lot I think that we kind off already saw it before a little. I think it's the kind of good song that can be very popular when the group is already very popular, but is not enough to make a group really blow up, like BVNDIT deserve it I mean. I think they can do even better and surprise us with a song that will not let anybody forget about them. They can have a brilliant career. MNH really created an amazingly promising group, I'm glad to hear what you said.

​@@Raphael-2 It's REALLY almost impossible to tell when a song will BLOW UP and when it will just be well-received. It's like...I sit here and listen to CLC's "Black Dress" and I think "That's a blow-up, absolutely." But it wasn't - it did really well, but it didn't make them stars. Then right after someone at the company says "Where Are You" is a great next track, but it flops. Then some other song I listen to and think "It's good. That's all; it's good." and it gets like 6 wins. Label execs have to guess just like the rest of us, predicting hits is HARD, and the public is fickle. "Dumb" did well, it advanced BVNDIT's career, and allowed them to show off their choreography and vocal skills. Plus, MNH has EXCELLENT video production people available - the same team did "Dumb" as did Chung Ha's "Snapping", so the company IS controlling what they CAN control!

It's just that everytime a song I thought would obviously become a big hit doesn't become a big it, I start to understand why, I start to see the weak points of it and I guess that they're the reason. And I know that all of these songs I talk about would have been hits in the hands of very big groups, because they're good enough. But for some groups, a few weak points and the song becomes not enough. But I know that it's very hard to predict. We see the weak points when it's too late. Or the song is perfect but it was extremely badly promoted, or it wasn't the right timing, or the concept did not match. It's very difficult, the best songs writers are very expensive and since the company is not sure if it's going to be beneficial, I guess they prefer to do more simple but more safe. But I have a good feeling about BVNDIT.

@@Raphael-2 Timing is EVERYTHING when it comes to music show wins. A group can score a win one week if the competition is weak, and be blown out with the same number of votes the next week against a big name. Companies don't plan their release schedule with knowledge of who they're going to be competing with, so it is a crapshoot, and only the top tier groups can know they're going to sweep show wins. Remember too that MNH spent the first year after Chung Ha's debut slowly building up her popularity, building on her Produce 101/I.O.I. experience, letting her really get her feet under her in the industry. I think they are kind of doing the same thing with BVNDIT - giving them more between-comeback content like the "Fly" Xmas M/V, solo songs and the "Genie" special stage. Dreamcatcher are the masters of that sort of build-up, and I think if MNH continues doing that with BVNDIT the NEED for the BIG hit won't be as strong, since the foundation of their popularity will have been strongly built.

Dumb was the best song of 2019 and now they just did one of the best songs in kpop history and they're only rookies. I know this year ITZY, Everglow, Cherry Bullet, Hinapia, Rocket Punch, Fanatics, PURPLEBECK, ANS debuted but BVNDIT is so different and IMO they are the best rookies of 2019.
