It could not be anymore obvious this was a live performance what makes it sound so good and clear is what you would call a high-dollar production system cameras buddy that's what your hearing that's why it sounds so good. Not that they filmed their performance cut out their performance and then put in the studio recorded track for this video yes some bands do. Do that but in this case it was not done that way at all defflenty live if you ever seen F.I.R live. You would understand cause they fucking kill it

It's so interesting seeing how loud Ronnie's scream actually. When he's belting his soul out, the mic is a solid FOOT away from his face. When he's screaming it's nearly touching his lips, and it sounds the same volume. Which means that his scream is a heck of a lot quieter than his belt. So cool to see. Also the fact he has the kind of awareness to know that his mic at his preferred settings, needs to be X distance away from his mouth in order to sound right. So cool.
@DvsSkater09073 жыл бұрын
You make a solid point. It's probably how he's preserved his voice when switching between vocal styles for so long. Screaming at a lower volume is likely much easier on the chords in the long run.
@tomasterren3 жыл бұрын

Yeah Ronnie finally grew not to be a scene vocalist, but an artist. I can't wait to see more live shit on the level of their last Vans Live releases, this here is just incredible. Uchiha Can you suggest some of the gems you were mentioning? I was such a big fan of ETF but then didn’t really follow through after his prison stint. Just listening now and realised Ronnie still has it, and that’s quite surprising to me haha. Also, you mentioned is reputation and i see a LOT of people mentioning it. Would you be able to elaborate? I googled him but since his past happened a while all I can find is the info on his prison sentence (drug violation) and the fact he was accused of domestic violence by an ex. Not saying these are good, but there’s many more controversial people in the spotlight. Am i missing something that he’s done? sorry to be annoying haha, but since i’m just finding his stuff again now, it would be good to be caught up if it’s possible :)
@LiveTheDream245 жыл бұрын
@@jessm7482 Its all good, I'm glad to help. As far as the controversy surrounding him you pretty much nailed it with the domestic violence accusations. As far as the FIR songs go there are quite a few but if i were going to put together a list of stand outs I'd say Chemical Prisoner, Guillotine IV (The Final Chapter), Broken, Hanging On, Sink or Swim, Good Girls Bad Guys, Alone. But there are more good ones for sure. The album "Just Like You" you might want to listen too, Ronnie even described it as a return to "Dying Is Your Latest Fashion" Hope this was helpful. That song, your energy, your voice, your angst & your essence that you put into that song is perfect. It is so rare when one can do a melody better than the composer & you did so much more than just make it better you made it so perfect it totally undid me!! I'm 56 years old & a song hasn't given me goosebumps AND made me cry, at the same time, in over 40 years! @@zacharyyyy in my opinion, and honestly I could be wrong, the background vocals and guitars sound pre-recorded. I filled in for a band once at a festival a few slots before them.. It was when they were in their leopard pants days. Almost their entire show was backing tracks. Essentially they were pretending. I know that is common with some bands these days, especially when members are sick and with the amount of production that goes into modern rock music. Some things just sounded way too perfect to be in a live setting. Especially Outdoors. Now I could fully be wrong oh, I admit. But in the past this was the case. Also, a lot of these live recordings are still edited in post the way you would a studio recording. This to avoid all the snide comments about them sucking..etc.. etc. Usually the sound coming direct from the sound board is very dry because it was meant for the concert, not video.

@@donut_lyfe every band uses backing tracks almost, but just because you have backing tracks isn't gonna make you sound better. This audio coming straight from the mixer make it pretty clear those are his actual vocals. And dude and def hold his own whether or not he's hated. Very little backing tracks was used in this.(vocal wise)

Thanks so much! Yeah, Falling In Reverse is always one of my favorite bands to watch. The whole band is super solid and Ronnie kills it as a frontman. I was worried about how these new songs would translate live since they rely a bit more on production than most of their previous stuff, but they honestly nailed it. I was super impressed.
@rainydaycanadian6 жыл бұрын

This is damn good if it's not a vocal track...I always get suspicious when you don't hear breath sounds with someone wailing like this. Plus he pulls that mic really far from his mouth while singing and I didn't notice any audio change again suspicious, but still amazing performance.
