Last week it was Sony"s PS4 Debut and this week it's Xbox One time to shine. With the release of the Xbox one brings the final next generation console to market joining the Sony PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Wii U.
Be sure to lift a couple of weights before picking up your Xbox One because it's a heavy console. It is a big on the larger size but it's not like your going to be moving the console often so be sure to make some space for it and you'll be ok. The Xbox One includes Kinect with it which your going to need to really take advantage of all the features along with headset, one controller and power brick. For the hardcore tech specs it comes with a 8 core processor, 500 GB of storage, Blu- Ray player, 2 HDMI ports that lets you plug your cable box into, optical audio, gigabit Ethernet and dedicated kinect port. Plenty of ports and features to get you going!
There is a Day One update that you'll need to do on the Xbox One which is around 500 MB to do. At launch there was option to install via USB but currently that has been taken down so now it's online only and you can't use your Xbox one until that update is complete so give yourself about 20 minutes to complete that. After you'll need to go through the setup which has a few questions and configurations it will want you to go through before you get to the main menu. Overall you'll need give yourself anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 hour for initial setup currently. This will change in the future I'm sure but currently it is a bit of a long process to get to the main menu.
But after the lengthily setup you'll get to the good part which we cover more in the video. We take a look at the new Windows 8 style interface, apps, games, TV Guide setup and Kinect voice commands. Check the video for more!

populargamingexpert1 actually if you were a true gamer you'd see the good in both consoles. I have Xbox One because it currently has more games to choose from and more games I'm interested in for the future. PS4 I'm waiting on because it is severely lackluster in the gaming department.

yessir!!! I'll give one easy example , maybe you don't see it because you never moved from your country but if you move for example from usa to europe and you connect the power supply it will just BLOW UP lol. So basically if you can have an external power supply that means that you can simply buy one in the country you're in and you can still play your european console in the states.. it might seem stupid to you but trust me .. lots of people have these kind of problems and if you have an internal power brick well you can't swithc it ,and risks are more high to an over heat... so external its so much better in my opinion

rtainc ps4 has a higher temperature even during standby mode so yeah.. stfu machine its more powerful on paper but doesnt perform with that 50% more like they announced true is the true... getting a higher temperature inside means getting a high probability of overheating. and yeah it has happened already (and im not talking about the one in the glassbox)

JustAName If you're like a super hard core gamer and all you care about are specs and how smoothly and stuff your games run, you should go with the ps4. If you're interested in gaming, but also entertainment like Netflix, Skype, watching TV while gaming, all that type of stuff, xbox one would be a good option for you. But yes, theyre both great consoles, so the best thing I would do is see which one your best buddy is getting and get that one. If youre the first one to get it, then well yeah like I said, ps4 focuses more on specs and gaming, Xbox one also on gaming but entertainment on the side. Hope this helped:/

Lucas Sjogren actually Xbox One is for everything, hence its name. Graphics are essentially identical on each console and performance is nearly identical too. PS4 is just a console with less features.

Lucas Sjogren I own both consoles. And Xbox One definitely is superior, if you read reviews and compare the two, many reviewers favor Xbox One because its a more tailored and clear experience as a whole than PS4. Graphics are the same on each console, some PS4 games run 60fps and some don't, same with Xbox One.

When PS4 power screws up (if it does), you'll have to send the entire system back to Sony to repair/replace. Xbox One power brick fails, just go to GameStop or Amazon and buy another one (if you don't want to send the console back). I'll gladly take that trade-off.

Idk why it would take you 20 minutes to download the update unless someone was taking up all the internet bandwidth. Looks to me like you have 25Mbps which I have as well (I usually get above that tho about 28Mbps) and it took me about 2 mins 30s.
