@@phild9813 I have found ALL of the SxS pretty loud BUT you can get add-on mods and enclosures to quiet them down. In terms of pricing NEW Can-Am Defenders are around $16,000 and go on up from there to the $30,000+ range so the Polaris is on par with the Can-Am Defenders. The thing though, is that a 1990's-era B-series (i.e.B200) Mazda compact truck (i.e. which is a Mazda modded Ford Ranger!) is now only around $4500 used so I could mod it to high heaven with 4x4 parts and M/T tires and it would carry more and be more comfortable while still being able to go on the more narrow trails. And when Mazda OEM'ed the Ford Ranger, they added some extras that increased reliability and comfort so that is your best best for getting Can-Am Defender ability at a much cheaper price! Those Mazda compact trucks sure do run like tanks! They go and go like forever! V

There is a very specialized use case for these things. You really have to have a very specific use for this machine. I'm sure there are people out there that will buy this, but I can't justify that money. I grew up on four-wheelers that could've been purchased new for $5,000 (at the high end). As many have said, I'd take an old Samurai or an XJ and stick about $10K into it and have it be just as capable, plus if you don't go too crazy with the mods, still have it be street legal - complete with A/C and heat! Plus I wouldn't need to listen to the drone of that engine. My goodness that is not something I could listen to for long periods of time. I want Polaris to succeed, especially since they're based out of my home state of MN, but $50K+ isn't it Polaris.
