the emei piercers spin to distract your enemy. spin one for distraction and attack with the other. these can be concealed in your sleeves but you need to make a "holster" for them. i hope i helped some one with this comment.

A good friend recently got me a pair as a birthday present. I'm looking forward to working with them. Getting the feel of them. Yours is the first video I ever saw on the subject. So, thanks for the help.

Why haven’t I heard of this weapon sooner? It’s so cool!!

Kung fu has a ton of weird and cool weapons. You probably never heard of the 3 sectional staff, iron fan, hook swords, judges pen's, chinees flail, or wolfteeth staff before either. Maby you never heard of chainwhips, monks spade, or meteorhammer end those are the better known once. There over 60 weapons in the kung fu Arsenal sow, I bought a pair of emeici I'm planning to teach myself how to use them. If you really intrested you might want look up al the types of chinees weapons there a lot of cool and crazy once.

Just sort of ended up on this vid while looking at clips from martial arts movies and ended up watching the whole thing. I just have to say, I've studied Aikido for several years, as well as Shotokan, Tae Kwan Do, and a smattering of others when I was a kid, so I've seen quite a few teaching styles and worked under several different instructors. And just in the little bit I see from this video I'm incredibly impressed by your abilities as a teacher. You patiently, thoroughly, and in simple, easy to understand terms explained the use of the spinners, and did it in a very practical way. I imagine if I was learning from you I would have been able to pick up the basics in just a few minutes, just from this little bit of instruction. Kudos on a job well done, and on being a good teacher! Wish I was in/near Seattle so I could take some classes with you. Subscribed, and Liked! :)

Trying to hold my fingers correctly just by themselves is hard. It's cool that anyone can do this. Thank You, Ms DeJesus.

Got a pair of these about ten years ago. They were one of my first Chinese weapons. Recently went through my old stuff and found them, and I fell in love all over again haha! Even though I have since been practicing Chinese arts, with these, as far as actual combat efficiency, they seem to work exceptionally well with a cross between Filipino martial arts and boxing style movements and guards. I want to make a sparring safe pair now! 😀

could you show me or explain how you fight with them? like spinning Kubotan? Double-sized Kubotan? Why this spinning? Way more cooler than figet spinner xD

The ring was added so you could swim underwater and be ready for combat. the only practical reason for spinning is if one end is blunt and you initally want to stun, then change your mind as things get out of hand. The judge pen is pointy on one end only originally. you can make a practice set with 9 inch nails and a shock spinner

The spinning is actually used as a distraction while you stab them with the other blade

When I first heard about them, I thought emei piercers was such a strange idea. They didn't seem practical to me, except as a show piece. How good are they?

Any recommendations where to get Chinese weapons at?

ZeGamemonkey Sorry about the delay in response, I just now saw your comment. Did you get your piercers to stick into a target by throwing yet? If not I can try to get a video up for you. Just let me know.

Do you know any Wushu forms using these? I am very interested in them but my Sifu is far away so meh >.< Where would I be able to learn techniques for an optional form?

Better then a fidget spinner

I'd do a paracord wrap on the ring for someone with small fingers like you. You can gut the paracord if necessary which will leave a flat wrap as opposed to the normal round paracord wrap

Hey I really want to purchase some of these but I'm not sure if they're legal in Florida, USA. Can someone let me know? Thanks :)

The spinning is actually ment to confuse your opponent. So it's nut just eye candy.

Does anyone feel that this is in anyway a pratical weapon or just something 2 play with ???
@rustydj2 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for your question. As a Wushu coach, I think they're great for coordination and martial arts routines. Would I carry one each day with me? No, the carry options arent' practical, for my line of work (Im a PE teacher and spend a lot of time around children in a "no weapons" zone). However, they are very pointy-sharp, and can be effective as a double ended piercing/slashing tool, should they happen to be around in a self protection situation. I feel that trying to get the ring around the finger takes a second or two away from quick deployment, as with any self defense/self protection situation, we should know how to use anything as a tool for self protection if needed. :)

@@rustydj they are deff a interesting weapon.. Im gonna get a pair for that reason.. I like the numchuka the best tho for a small silent weapon.. Good tool for working out with to once you learn how to use them... Bruce lee hitting ping pong balls with them is amazing.. So much talent
