Just so beautiful! I learned how to make fabric flowers when I was a little girl. My friend's mom showed me how! The trick is to make sure that the fabric is only 100% polyester. No polyester blends. Just 100% polyester!

They are enjoyable to make, another trick I have done with them to Chrissie is to cut slits into the circles, almost to the centre before I burn them, makes them a little shabbier looking.

Hi Chrissie, your flowers are exquisite. I really give you credit for using a flame to curl your edges... I would probably burn myself or my house down. My husband was very nervous when I tried tea dying paper by using the oven. Your flowers are so gorgeous 💕...Kathleen

They are beautiful Chrissie. My best friend and I made those about 4 yrs ago and it was so much fun. We kept a bowl of water close in case one caught on fire. Deborah, I hope you are having fun making them. It is a learning curve as far as what fabrics will work and what doesn't. I have found that out :)

@@chrissiecrosser 🍃🌸🍃Yes! Thank you for sharing that information. I found what I think is a synthetic thin fabric and I’m seeing if it changes colors in a avocado dye! I need to remember my circle do not need to be perfect, and use different types of fabric’s. Your’s are Beautiful!🍃🌸🍃

just an idea i use long tweezers to hold fabric so my fingers stay out of the flame.

Also, the fabric has to be only 100% Polyester in order to singe properly. It can't be any blended fabrics or blended polyester. Only 100% Polyester. ☺💖

Hi Christy...I am happy to hear you are going to make some flowers...I mentioned in the video I think that I use around 8-10 layers...they look too skimpy otherwise I feel. Have fun :)
