Just seeing this video in 2024 and it still rings TRUE!!!!! She’s right! I’m seeing that alot of these Gen Alphas are totally different from Millennials and Gen X’ers. Many don’t even follow social norms of respect.Like she said, us parents better get it together! We love and care for our kids but they need to learn to respect and honor us!

Went through that with my stepkids. They would talk back and stay out and skip school and the mom wouldn't say a word. I told her that if she let them disrespect me again and she sit there and allow it she can take them with her.

I have a 26 year old stepson that lives with us. He has moved out before, but always comes back for mommy. We even let his little bitch girlfriend move in for almost a year for FREE! When they moved out they stole an ounce of pot I had. I didn't notice it for about a month because I don't smoke it anymore. I just grow it sometimes. I found out later that he was doing heroin, and totaled his girlfriends car. Before that he wrecked his truck. He blamed it on the other driver, and with the truck, he said it just jumped into a stump. My wife won't kick him out because he has no place to go. This morning he had a doctors appt. but fell back to sleep. He got up pissed and blamed my wife for not waking him. I asked him if he knew he had an appt. He said NO! I said DON'T LIE TO ME! His reply " I WORK! WHAT DO YOU DO? Last night was his second day on the job! He acts like he worked his ASS off when all he did was check food at a Safeway store. I WANT HIM OUT! I've been working for over 30 years, and he can NEVER keep a job for more then a couple months! Thanks for letting me rant!!!

Best advice I’ve ever heard my husband refuses to be a parent to be the one to stop the disrespect between his 30 son and 31 yr old daughter..they stopped coming around after I finally put my foot down. The son would even show up to do his laundry while we were out of Townsend his daughter would come sleep over and do laundry as well, some of my stuff went missing and he refuses to acknowledge one of them took it. I tried being nice, heck I was nice until things changed after his daughter found out we were engaged she even throw a tantrum because she wasn’t present when he proposed. And I notified how she began to behave catty, rude shady and when we got married and God blessed us with a home she had the nerve to come over the day we were moving and start putting away dishes and setting up the utensils drawer like it was HER house! I was so upset and she got so mad because I politely asked them all to leave bc I had been up since 5am packing and moving stuff. You are very right they behave entitled and my husband rather hurt my feelings than put his foot down and they aren’t welcomed here anymore specially after his sin sent me a “gift” bag with wooden boxes filled with roaches!!! Ugh!! I even recorded it and my husband had the nerve to deny it saying it must’ve been an accident but his son meant well by giving me a gift bc he knows I like gardening. So I told him I had had enough of their bs and didn’t want his grown ass adult children nor his disrespectful Jehova witness mom in my home..they haven’t been over in a year. The way I see it is if he wants to see them he can go visit them at their home or go out to lunch or dinner but my home, our home is a sanctuary and I will never again allow such disrespectful behavior or I will cuss them out and forget I am a Christian. The Bible tells us not to throw our pearls to swine, and to stay away from unbelievers and wicked people. I thank you for your advice, I honestly feel I had to grow some balls since my husband seems to have forgotten his 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s not right period he doesn’t want to be the “bad” parent he does everything possible to always look like the good guy but I am done no more shenanigans not at my home.

This week took me to a whole nother level... I finally stepped up and went in on my stepdaughter. Now she knows that I am not playing and that her father and I are a united front and will make sure she pays for her behavior. We came together and made up a punishment plan and communicated said punishment to her. She cried because she thought she could be nice and get out of it. Now she knows that for bad behavior she will pay for it. She’s in high school and is spoiled... she is now stripped of all luxuries until further notice. I now have the confidence to speak up and be an adult figure to her. I’m so glad I watched your video sis because everything you mentioned, we are putting in action. Thank you so much, and for those struggling with this know who you are and that you are way past any child trying to punk you! Come up with a plan with your spouse and make it happen! We need to go back to old school ways and tear that ass up!! These kids ain’t special, and they damn sire need to be humbled. Don’t take their shit and stand up and be the captain of y’all ship. Love them and show them the right way. We run this! The road won’t be easy but it will be well traveled!! Stay encouraged!

Thank God for you. I feel so bad for step parents & parents for kids that is trying to make y'all lives miserable. It can also be a family curse. Example of a family curse (there different types of family curses): I disrespected, lied, cheated, stole, killed, beaten, being hateful towards my family, parents, friends, and strangers. Just plain evil for no reason. But when I die my sins will fail upon my childern, my childern children's, my childern children's children's & so forth. Being stiffed neck/ hard headed: Ignoring what God told you to do. May you talk about a mother picking an man over child: I am 14 years old by the way. I am using my aunt account with her permission. I have been living with my Aunt & Uncle for the pass month because my mom picked my father over me. I don't talk back, I'll speak when spoken to, I get good grades, I cook, I clean, & I got 2 part time job. Weekends, I work at McDonald's. Tuesday's, Thursday's, and Friday's I dog sit for 3 hours. Wednesday's, I am studying. Between classes & at lunch time, I am selling homemade lemonade. I am earning & saving up money to open a grocery store & to own a farm one day because it's not alot of Black Farmers nor all black grocery stores. Besides, I enjoy hard work. But what hurts the most, I tell her that I love her everyday & bring her a rose when I get home. All she say, "I don't love you & I wish I've never had you. Nobody want you." At first I thought she was stress so the extra money I do make I pay the $27.82 gas bill & buy a bag of apples, a bag oranges, and wheat bread. But now I feel like she honestly don't love me because everytime I call to check on her. She calls me every name in the book & my dad say, "Hang up on the little b****." Have anybody dealt with anything like this from a parent or parents? How do you deal with because it's very heart breaking. I know I got my Aunt, Uncle, and my little cousins who are 3 years old identical triplet boys who loves me. I have bad days & good days. And sometimes on my bad days, I do not want to get up out of bed because of the heartache. My Aunt & Uncle already took action & filed for custody. They treat me like I am their own. And I start therapy Monday.

Therapy is the best thing to help you learn to be OK at how your parents have disconnected. I can't imagine what you must feel but I'm grateful you have your aunt,uncle & cousins to love on you bc you deserve better. Children should not be charge, and you need to consider whats in the best interest of the kids while they are underage. What it boils down to is the adults handling things properly. Also, the step-parent needs to treat the child right. Be careful about who you bring around your kids.
