What has always surprised me most about homeopathy is that Hahnemann is still the best teacher. Everything is easier to understand when you learn it from him. And also the fact that it's much easier for me to repertory using Boenninghausen's repertoire.

Yes! Thank you again, dr M. Have you done a talk on helping with menopausal symptoms?

"Are you a homeopath or is it just something you practice on your patients". My teacher once asked the class.

I am a classically trained physician (OEM specialist) who also practices homeopathy and acupuncture. Homeopathy is the love of my life, my true vocation and my meaning in being a medical doctor. I couldn't have achieved that if I had not first been cured by homeopathy. After all those years of studying and practicing I realized how time consuming and necessarily slow is the process of accumulating homeopathic knowledge. It's so sad to see individuals, especially with no medical background, proclaiming themselves homeopaths and working almost only with computer repertory software. Homeopathy is an art so much deeper than just adding up a bunch of rubrics... Thank you dr.Malerba for reminding us the basics... Your videos are very comforting to the homeopath trying to navigate in an ocean of information out there. God bless you! Greetings from Athens, Greece.

Thanks for that very kind and thoughtful reply. It's true that there's a lot of bad information out there, and one of the purposes of this channel is to set the record straight. And I agree that many unqualified people call themselves practitioners. The problem is that regulation is tricky business. It's a double edged sword that can work for or against the betterment of homeopathy in general. BTW - my son will be visiting Greece next week! Best to you.

This episode gives me chills, every single time I watch it. I am a life-long rabid learner who came to homeopathy as a patient when in my 30's. Ten years of casual use and 15 of serious study (self-guided and mentored) and I am still as THRILLED as I was at the beginning. I appreciated what you said about the benefits of traditional medical studies. That is not possible for many of us. There do exist sensitive, intuitive and naturally gifted healers. Is there a place for such ones who are also well-grounded in the principles and practice of homeopathy and are dedicated students of Materia Medica? When I interact with the "professional" homeopathic community, I often see the same hubris found in allopathic doctors. Gurus or wanna-be-gurus abound. It takes a very thick skin to be in some homeopathy social media groups. Is the homeopathic community truly egalitarian? Did the earlier physicians that learned from Hahnemann or his successors all have the same medical knowledge as homeopaths would today? I would appreciate a video on the history of the home use of homeopathy, homeopathic midwifery and lay homeopathy. Such a historical vantage point might broaden our understanding of who can and has practiced effective homeopathy. Many thanks, as always!

Of course, there's a place for intuitive types. I'm just saying that the more education, the better. And, I agree, maverick types who have the courage to buck convention also tend to have ego issues. And we encounter similar characters in the homeopathic world as we do elsewhere. There will always be those who put themselves out there as gurus/experts/masters/etc. My point is that homeopathy itself is egalitarian. It is more open to the possibilities compared to allopathy, which is a closed system.

Thank you Dr. Larry. I am blessed with one of the best Homeopaths in Canada and have had many and great improvements over the years. I love learning but the biggest problems is where to start. I feel I take the scatter gun effect at learning but I love the way you put things and have learned much. Thanks From Ontario, Canada
