I believe fruit is deeper than just actions . I believe it's the heart motive behind the actions... God looks on the heart and knows the motives of our hearts . He knows the why behind what we do. There are many who claim to be of God,but make all kinds of excuses for sin and they may di nuce things ,but the reason is just to be seen etc... An apple is an apple and comes from an apple tree . That apple may look pretty on the outside,but inside be dry,bitter,and rotten... Similar to how Jesus called our the Pharisees for their outward performance, but he knew their dark heart motives. He called them white washed etc...

The problem Christian are not bearing fruits is because of lack of teachings abd reminding that they are a new creation living by and in the Spirit and not to live in their old self, or try to better their old self and bear Christian fruits. Its impossible to bear fruits of spirit by our flesh/living in old creation. Only bear fruits of death, and we must be reminded our old nature died at the cross. We must be reminded with teachings to live in the new creation which is already perfect and to walk in His perfection. Isaiah 11:1-5
