Bricked means can't be saved like a useless brick. Example would be I just bricked my phone with the new software update and now it won't boot. This isn't bricked. In cars this is known as limp mode. You can still drive a car in slow speed limp mode to get it fixed.

Hi all, "Transport Mode" is engaged as your new unit leaves the factory. It's there so the 20 or so transport people involved with the delivery of your new car cannot mistreat it in transit. "Transport Mode" is reset and released just before you take delivery. Simply learn the PW for your car in advance. Works well for Valet parking, engage "TM" when leaving it for someone to park! you will know they aren't doing donuts and burning the tires off of your new ride. Cheers

Transport Mode makes a damn good idea, so that your car cannot be abused while it's being transported from manufacturer to customer, or to avoid you car being joyrided like the Ferrari in Ferris Buellers Day Off. There is probably a way for the owner to disable it with a multi button keypress. The dealers computer will be a laptop, but will need internet access from an authorised and BYD approved network portal, so not able to connect away from the worlshop. Both situations tell Car Bores that the engineers and management at BYD are people like us, and not the usual A to B passengers behind the wheel that see cars as appliances.

The button is no longer anywhere to be found. Yay! I don't fault either my husband or the factory. But i think it would be best to just hide the button better. Sam, the Seal is a nice vehicle. I've driven both the Premium and Performance versions. The Performance is scarily FAST! Excellent value in Australia. Better than the Tesla's but, I had to order a Model 3 LR simply because the Seal has quite low ground clearance. I bang on about this in comments to many reviews, because it's a VERY real problem that reviewers haven't noticed or have ignored. I get it that fans will ignore it, but I was guaranteed to scrape the front edge of the bumper if I went through with my order. Not the back of the front bumper than people have tried to correct me on. Looking forward to the M3 LR (and one pedal driving 😀) which sits 4 centimetres higher on my problematic driveway at 6 centimetres, than the Seal at only 2 centimetres. I had to enter my carport at an absolute crawl so as not to scrape the demo vehicle bumper - which BTW other drivers (and probably dealer staff) already had! Where is this button to be avoided in the Atto 3 menu? We have an Atto 3 and I'm keen to avoid pressing it by accident.

Model 3 has less ground clearance. I have both a model 3 and a Seal and the Model 3 will regularly bottom out on curbs and speed bumps. You are confusing the argument because the Seal has a front spoiler which may hit a steep driveway incline. This is a problem with any car that has a front spoiler. I even thought about installing a spoiler on the Model 3 because it looks better but the Seal already has one.
@Paul-ow9dd9 ай бұрын
@@vasil7410 Yes, but the front spoiler (as you call it) ships with the vehicle. Do BYD recommend removing it? I did notice some screws. What is the stability and range affect if it's removed? The Seal is a performance vehicle - especially the AWD. I'm sure it's there for a reason. What does the front of the Seal look like as far as ascetics if it's removed? If the vehicle looks fugly then not an option. No options were offered to me when I ordered, nothing in the manual or on the BYD site. I chose to cancel and get the 2024 M4 LR. Happy I did. Yes, any vehicle will bottom out, I'm acutely aware of that every time I drive over a hump or driveway, especially in a low VW Polo, but I've avoided scratching the Polo bumper. Wasn't going to be the same with the Seal.
@vasil74109 ай бұрын
@@Paul-ow9dd Not suggesting you should remove the spoiler, that would look like sh*t. The point is it's inaccurate to say the Telsa has more ground clearance. This electric Viking is such a fraud. BYD cars are catching on fire everywhere, yet no mention of that. No mention of air bags not working, or the explosions. This guy would sell his own mother a byd.
