In 1993 I was in hostel ...from then on till many more years I stayed in hostel so never got to watch Byomkesh Bakshi so watching the Doordarshan series now...the way every episode unfolds is gem....the simplicity is addictive. I think Sushant has that simplicity & down-to-earth approach in the way he plays his characters. The "Satya" thing...I too connected "Satyanveshi" and his marriage to "Satya" !!! Yaar ye kamaal ki movie thhi.. I went to see it..and was left amazed..yaar chali nai yaar..kitne dukhh ki baat hai..I to date think that Sushant was the best guy who portrayed Byomkesh in the modern times. Byomkesh had a fluidity..a boldness in his actions..backed by mind blowing intelligence and instincts..and Sushant played him so well..his personal focus reflected in the character's eyes..and it was awesome..sad really that it got bombed..

Rajit Kapur and Basu Chatterji's Byomkesh Bakshi became successful mainly for its simplicity and honesty and Mr.Kapoor as Byomkesh was very appropriate choice.Sharadindu was a lawyer,so analysis and reasoning of the mysteries of his stories are realistic,down to earth. I don't know whether he practiced in court or not.

This much experiment in a movie gets appraisal in Hollywood mostly. **These 3 people are the actual match for the intellect level of Sushant,they praised him wholeheartedly.Anupama Chopra is an brilliant anchor. I just finished watching the film after 8 years literally. And it's good!! Not too unbelievable or caricaturish but close it's milieu. The story progresses slowly but keeps opening layers. And I love that neeraj kabi put forth a hysteria that is common on OTT today but surely fresh for a hindi film. The film had an amazing casting too, very well headlined by sushant.
