Byopa| Nyishi Headgear| Meisum

Byopa, a traditional headgear of Nyishi tribe is considered as one of the most important cultural attire. It is generally worn during important socio-cultural occasions to symbolise the identity of the tribe. It is prepared from locally available materials viz., Calamus acanthospathus, C. erectus, Gmelina arborea, Alnus nepalensis etc. using handmade tools.
