Nicely done with all the black accents. Even the sink overflow drain!

I stopped using mdf trim or wood trim in wet areas. I’ve used the plastic or resin in one house so no worries. Especially since tile is a future event. I like the tile to the floor more like an industrial bathroom. Looks good

Thanks so much for watching and your input. Thats a great point when considering trim and bathrooms by using plastic or resin trim.

You forgot to paint the door hinges to match the black details. Otherwise, the bathroom makeover is a beast!

I knew I forgot something haha! Good call out. I'll just get some powder coated black hinges to make the project full completed :)

Arm-r-seal by general finishes for the oak

That is one of my all-time favorite finishes haha! Perfect suggestion.

@BYOTools it's the best. It's what I used on my mantle, dining table, coasters, etc. super durable and easily reapplied when needed. I also like the look.

Uh-oh... When sealing your toilet base you need to leave a 2 or 3 inch stretch at the back UN-sealed. It needs to be open so that if it leaks there is a chance that it will be able to dry, but mostly because if it leaks you want to see the evidence on the floor before the water rots the area below it and causes the ceiling below to fall in or get compromised with mold.

Really nice work. But just to add something, when using plumbers tape, you should leave 2 threads clear at the start of the thread. Also on the shower head, the plumbers tape was actually over the pipe entrance, this will affect water flow.

You and your family doing alright after the cyclone? My folks live out in Point Roberts and dodged a bullet, but they say the mainland is worse than what's being reported. If you need assistance with anything, let me know! I'll be up that way over Christmas and New Years. :) Regarding the white walls, I think leaving them white is the right choice! The tile work is such a beautiful statement on its own, it may get too overwhelming or busy if you try to get any sort of color onto the walls. It's okay for some things to remain plain! :)

Thanks for checkin in on us. We are A-ok and just were without power for a couple of days. Slowed me down a bit but can't stop when you have an eager wife that wants her bathroom back haha. I feel the same way on the wall color. It compliments the tile and the oak very well. Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness and input.
